I booked this hotel through a website after looking at photos and reading reviews while looking for an inexpensive hotel close to Schlitterbahn for a family vacation. That was a huge mistake. I have been in the military for almost 25 years and have stayed in derelict flophouses in countries you can barely pronounce that were cleaner. The "carpet" was so filthy that my feet were literally black from walking on it for an hour. The "continental breakfast" was basically some dry cereal and a jug of milk that one of the clerks probably bought on the way to work. The swimming pool was so tiny it was absolutely comical. It looked like an oversized bathtub and was filthy to boot. What made matters worse was that for the price I paid I could have stayed at several truly modern and clean hotel's that were not that much farther away.
If you are determined not to pay the normal rates for New Braunfels or just can't find space I highly recommend simply getting a motel in San Marcos and driving the short 20 miles each day.
