The perfect antidote to modern life. We spent an idyllic holiday at Lyndaleon Skye. Lazy lunches of fishing-boat fresh langoustine and crab before strolling on the white sands of Shell Beach. Exploring ancient burial mounds and archeological sites before discovering the ruined cathedral of the Isles hidden on a river-island at Skeabost.
Another day cruising a sea loch watching seals, sea-birds and dolphins – a driftwood fired sausage lunch on a remote rocky beach. And finally, most spectacularly, an evening warmed by a roaring log fire and a single malt, idly watching a blood red sun melt into the gunmetal seas off The Hebrides.
Lyndale’s idyllic and central location on Skye gave us easy access to the whole island and at a secluded hideaway where we could simply beachcomb or just watch the sunset..
