Stayed the 17/12/11 - 24/12/11 fab room with sea view on high floor as requested. Room was very clean and had all you need for a self catering holiday unless you like to cook a 3 course meal as sadly some people do when on holiday. There was a microwave, kettle, toaster and a 2 ring top cooker what more do you want. Pool area very clean plenty of sunbeads at this time of year,only downside kids not allowed to take any inflatables into pool fair enough in high season but the pool was that cold you would be lucky if there were 3 people in it at once. Location fab supermarket very close also shops and resturants close by only wish resturants did not feel the need to hassle you into going into there premises if they left you alone to look at the menu they would get more customers. All in all would definetly go back as hotel staff very pleasant and hotel very clean.

can not fault this hotel !! fantastic room with sea view as requested. holiday from 10th dec to 17th dec weather was fantastic and this hotel never lets us down!! rooms are clean , staff are more than helpful and i will defo be going back to this hotel and tenerife next year .
Gandhi,s Indian restaurant is a must to try located just outside the hotel. Amanda,s restaurant as great entertainment with compare Sean King who,s areal funny and talented guy. Tenerife is still as good value as i remembered it to be with many bars doing euro a pint !!
I love Tenerife and Santa maria is the best location and value for money hotel out there . see you all again next year Santa Maria !!!!!!!!

.Steve & Sonia......stayed at the santa maria 3/10/2011 for 10 days. not really good. we were on the 2nd floor with a view of the sea and the mountians to the right and behind the apartments that was pretty.. But....On the main road, so the amanda bar is almost directley under you and the singer is the same one every night and is loud,(especially when his mate billy bloody idol..NOT trys to sing) you must remember to shop around for meals and other goods if your out for a bargain, got sick of time share sellers with the same lines... they stop you with a scratch card or a folded coupon, me and my fience were stopped a dozen times, they get 2 cards out reveal one that wins not a lot then a second that wins a big prize but also the time share seller that issued the card 60 euro's.. then try to haul you to there office near harley's and try to make you sign up to a time share whilst tellin you all the time its not a time share... got sick of the lucky lucky sellers, sick of the resturants badgering u to go in there bars, beaware.. the prices range and they charge u what they like, we had a jug of sangria in one bar and it cost 4 euros 99, then 50 yards down the beach front got hauled into another bar, had the same size jug of sangria came to 13-13 euros... the santa maria had no air con or fan in the bathroom so it being 35 degres out side was unbarable, only a fan in the main room ( which sounded like it was on its last legs), only two light bulbs workin (which we reported on finding this but with no response what so ever and we didnt get any replaced).. the pool area is small but pleasent, some days you could get a sunbed and then the next no chance! Go to los cristianos beach it loads better and cleaner(2 euros 70 on the bus for us both Good Value) the evening entertainment was a total waist of time DONT BOTHER!!! we stayed half board, the breakfast wasnt too bad but the evening food i wouldnt give a starvin cat!! yuck!! we found the staff pleasent, but our room never got cleaned once while we were there, the cleaner went in and just gave us clean towels once every 2 days, and shut the curtains, the floor never got swept and the beds were changed once, u only get single beds,The sunshine bar was good and friendly at the bottom of the hill but also in the next street was the wigan bar and a couple of other english bars ALL busy but very friendly.. the gandhi indian was good and the B&Q chinese buffet was good food and value,.Hope your fit cus its all hills and with the heat its a killer..There's a market in player das americas, its ok too. the area itself was very nice though overall...( BEWARE of the cockroaches too). was dissapointed!! not going back!

Went to the santa maria on the 9th sept and after reading the reviews i was a bit wary but i never had anything to worry about
Clean spacious apartments pool area small but fine loads of sunbeds pool bar bit steep with the prices but on the whole ok
Central location down a steep hill to the beach nice selection of bars and resturants
On the whole a good time one thing that could be improved please is air conditioning please
