Run down,dirty,noisey,horrible,arrogant staff,ended up at playaflor through teletext holidays,all the bad reviews on here are true.avoid....

After living in Tenerife for a year and discovering this hidden gem- because yes it is hidden away- I find myself returning and rebooking. Hotel is just as fantastic during the day as it is at night.
The pool is small but big enough to have a splash around in, it is a Gay hotel and can sometimes be over the top- but then why would you expect anything less?
The staff are always friendly and knowledgble of their local surroundings even if their English might not be fantastic.
The bungalows are small but fantastic value for their basic price of £30 per night. They are self contained apartments spread over two floors with a kitchenette and a living area downstairs and a bathroom and bedroom on the second floor and a private sun terrace on the roof.
Entertainment is fantastic and party night is never a let down. Yes the hotel is overlooking the club strip but- why would you stay there if you were not going to party or bring ear plugs- in response to other replies. Definately a gay 18-30's party hotel.
Have enjoyed my stay their many a time and now have rebooked for October this year.

Also even if not staying at the hotel- the owner and staff and happy for you to go use the pool as long as you are drinking from the bar.

Definately worth recommending!

Dont GoThere. It is the sleezyest place i have ever stayed at and couldnt wait to get out, after 3 days we moved locations.

arrived in tenerife, jaded ! we were going to la gomera the next day anyway, got as far as playaflor, in the bar, our reservation wasn't to be heard of (no receptionist at the time)( also i asked twice while emailing if we needed to pay deposit!)..thankfully i remembered that ceaser was who i was emailin!...but...............the apartment itself was lovely,3 floors , no complaints there, top floor outside and to be honest after all the complaints i heard i thought i was ready ....but no!!!!no sleep til brooklyn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's (the area) is for party people, it wasn't playa flor's fault that all the clubs across the road were pumping it up! and in the middle of all the mayhem it is chilled out..so .we just went out instead!!!and had a ball!!! i think to be honest you get what you ordered and what's the harm in that!
