“relaxingly quite central location close to every thing”

we booked on the strength of these reviews on trip advisor and was not dissapointed, its like a tardis looks small from the outside when you first get there all you see is steps and a white gate with the name above it, but once you get inside the layout is great and bigger than what you think, there are flowering trees, shrubs and plants every where you look, we stayed for a week 08 jan to the 15th in the self catering studio number 60s,it was so quite in this part of the complex at night time, we could not belive all the electrical items in there, fridge, cooker hob, oven, toaster, kettle, microwave, iron, iron board, hair dryer and even a washing machine, rooms were cleaned every day,the room and the complex was spotless, we were late on arrival so no one in reception(which we had read about) rang the phone number and within 20 mins security let us into the room.for a really nice central location and the amount we paid to stay there you would be very hard pushed to find any thing better, reception was only part time 10am -6pm but there was a phone number to ring if you wanted any thing and they were always very helpfull, the pool area was calm and relaxing the complex was full but you wouldnt have thought it as it was very quite. the walks along the strip and the front are a must. there is no shortage of places to eat and drink. we had a full b/fast for two including drink for 4.50 euro. chinese buffet 6.50 euro each. iceland have just opened a store(out of the complex turn right on the strip 5min walk) all english food, frozen and fresh, just a few cents more than home prices where you can get every thing, cheaper than the local supermarkets.we would recomend shenanigans just across the road couple of lads in there every night called the loony tunes, they play music and comedy a really good laugh when they finish go to the dubliner next door live music till 4am.
for a cheap central location you could not ask for more.

Room Tip: i would say from the middle to the back of the complex was quiter

“Private rental”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2011

Stayed in a private bungalow from Sept 26 to Oct 4th. Beware because the standard of the bungalows varies, dependent on owner. Location is central, opposite The Patch but lots of steps and a distance to each bungalow. It is quiet and has a pool but no amenities whatsoever so forget a cool drink unless you buy it at the supermarket. Terribly unhelpful staff unless you booked through the hotel, they have no interest whatsoever in private rentals. Our apartment was clean but very basic and not worth the money. Be careful to view photos carefully if you choose a private rental !! Having stayed in tenerife over 20 yrs the location is good but accommodation is better elsewhere.

“A centrally located oasis of calm and relaxation.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2011

I was already on holiday at Club Olympus (see previous review), when I decided I did not want to go home after our seven days were up. I could not extend our stay at Club Olympus so I chose to book the Los Cardones for an extra night. Doing this gave us a whole Friday and just about all of Saturday extra to enjoy some more rest and relaxation. Friends had stayed at Los Cardones in 2008 when a large group of us came to Tenerife to celebrate two big birthdays. Having visited them in their apartment then, I knew I had gotten good value for money when I booked the studio there for our extra night. We left Club Olympus at 10am on the Friday morning and walked around the half hour to Los Cardones along the seafront with our luggage which was not much of a hassle to be fair. We were allowed to check in straight away at reception which is open from 10:00-18:00 daily. So we were semi unpacked and on holiday again after just 45 minutes of leaving Club Olympus! We were allocated an upper floor studio in the two storey studio block at the back. The rest of the complex is made up of one and two bedroomed bungalows in thier own gardens. Our studio was on the end of the block so had dual aspect. Large balcony facing one of the quiet paths which run between the various complexes around the patch and facing the pool was an inward opening set of patio doors with a balcony rail outside. (Juliet Balcony I beleive is the word?) The studio itself was quite large and with some thought, could easily have been a one bedroomed apartment. The kitchen was very large and had lots of cupboard space, but only minimal utensils, crockery and cutley. A microwave, small fridge with freezer compartment and kettle and toaster were provided, along with a four ring hob and oven. Biggest surprise was the washing machine! The water pressure was not very good but hot water seemed plentiful if you were patient. The lounge area featured some elegant furnishings, large double sofa bed and TV which seemed to feature only one English speaking channel (Eurosport), a ceiling fan also helped keep the room a little coolerThere was a wardrobe in the hall with ten hangers and three drawers, plus sopme extra bedding and blankets and full sized Ironing board (no Iron). Bathroom was tiled very pleasantly but the grouting, especially around the seal between the bath was looking very tired. Towels were provided and were of fair quality. Plenty of toilet rolls stocked up in the cupboard under the sink. A wall mounted hairdryer was also provided. All of the windows seemed to be newly fitted double-glazed units, with matching brand new locking shutters which we used at night to allow a breeze in. The complex has an average sized pool, which is so quiet you can almost think it is your own. It has a seperate childs paddling area. The main pool has steps down into it as opposed to ladders, this leads you into an area which is a flat plateau of 90 cms deep before more steps take you down to the rest of the pool which is 1 metre 90 cms all the way round. the pool looked newly tiled and very clean and was very warm at 10:00 am in the morning. There are a few sun loungers on the terrace syrrounding but the pool is not overly used so it does not seem problematic getting a spot. The complex does not have a restaurant or bar of any sort, not even a pool bar but I can't say I missed not having the choice. Most guests stayed in their bungalows and self catered, only going to the pool for a quick dip and back to thier bungalows, so I think it worked better, but then some who would like a central point to drink/socialize may not like that aspect. The complex is very secure, the entrace is open during the day bu then the gate is locked at night but you are given a key to let yourself in and out. From inside you would not think this complex which is so peaceful and quiet could be located in such a central position. It is directly opposite ther patch, next door to Parque Cristobal and across from the Hotel Las Palmeras. Entrance to the complex is up a set of about 15 steps so bear that in mind for mobility issues.. Check-out is at 12:00 noon and bags can be left at reception but this closes at 18:00 so after that you will need to retrieve them, something to consider if you have a late flight. I was informed upon checking out that it is possible to upgrade from a studio to a bungalow for just 10 euro's a night, which I would have done had I been told when I checked in, but alas the studio still served us very well. Overall I would say they are a good choice for those who like some peace and quiet within a short walking distance to all the main resort ammenties.

“Lovely little complex”

Stayed in a 2 bed apartment with 3 other girls. The grounds are so nice in this complex. You're right on the main road but one you go through the gates it's so quite you can't hear a thing. The apartments were very spacious and clean. We had our own garden with sun loungers which was great. Apartments have everything you need and your right beside everything. Beach and supermarket are 2 mins away and the central nightlife is 5 - 10 min walk so you're close enough to not need a taxi but far enough away that you won't be bothered by any noise. There are other bars and restuarants right outside the complex too. The resort is really on your doorstep!
