“nice apts for a cheap price”

have just returned from a 10 day trip it was my 3rd visit. overall the premises are very clean bumped into someone almost every day doing work on the grounds ensuring they were clean and tidy. apts were compact but were good enough for what we needed. pool bar was cheap and food was really tasty. also restaurant across the road from the complex called tango they do superb food for a really cheap price. 3 course for 10 euro cant complain about that. pub across the road called anchor bar great place for watching the football and entertainment every night followed by karaoke. would recommend this resort if traveling on a budget. 1 bit of advice when you land in tenerife ask the taxi man for either las perimides or the anchor as not a lot of drivers know where the complex is.

Room Tip: ask for a room beside the reception

“Nice Appartments in Playa de las Americas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011

This was a very pleasant place to stay in an arguably overly touristic location. The Paraiso Royal is located very close to the action in Playa de las Americas, but you wouldn't really know it if you weren't looking for it.

The appartment I stayed in was at the south end of the second floor and closest to the street on the busy side of the block, but noise and bother was not an issue. Sure there were a few shouts and crashes at 5am but nothing you would not expect for a busy, central location in any spanish town.

The accomodation itself was very good. Spacious and clean with a beautiful west facing balcony that opened out on to a beautiful sunset every evening. The bathroom and kitchen were great and all facilities were in excellent shape. On-site the pool was tremendous, and a sunset swim was a highlight of the trip.

This location offered the best of it all. If you want a high octane, tequila slugging party trip then its in a great place for you to stagger off to it, however if you want a relaxed, quieter time you dont have to go far to find that either. There are plenty of pleasant, enjoyable places to go and enjoy too. Paraiso Royal is recommended for all.

“very good for nightclubbers unfortunately we are not.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2010

stayed for fortnight, first impressions were a bit bleak, due to just ceiling fan to keep the heat down, it was very hot. we usually go away winter months. the staff so nice and helpful. there was most things you could need. apartment 31 though, along with the block directly behind leonardo's bar more suitable for younger people who like the nightlife. we found it difficult to sleep with the music blaring from nightclub, plus found it stifling as we needed to keep doors closed in evening to muffle sound a bit. also as we were directly to the right of the two security gates, people did not close the gates, they slammed them, they come in sometimes laughing other times arguing, right up to 5 a.m. sometimes.
we would like to thank the gentleman in the office on our last day for permitting us to keep the room until 4.30 p.m. as our flight not until 7.35p.m.
we would stay at the complex again but would hope for a quieter area of the very nice complex.

“Avoid Leonardo's!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2010

I booked my apartment direct with the owner, so it was basic but ok.
The apartments are nice and the onsite staff are good, but you MUST check whether you are near Leonardo's as it's like Battle of the Bands in your dining room. Except you can't throw this lot out. I did ask the owner if it was noisy and she said no, but it turns out she hasn't been for six years!

If you are out every night till 2am it won't bother you but if not then avoid the ones near the strip.

These apartments are really close to the English action and therefore very, very tourist centred.

“Value for Money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2010

Stayed here from 30th June to 4th July. Arrived at 9pm.

1st little problem, not many Taxi drivers know where the Paraiso Royal is, but if you say Las Pirimedes or Anchor Bar then you'll get there.

Keys weren't a problem to get hold of, as long as you go to the right entrance which is opposite las pirimedes not by Leonardo's bar then you can't miss the Green gate with the safety deposit box against it, 1 short telephone call gained the required code to get at the Keys.

There was 26 of us staying here on a stag weekend, we split rooms to 3 people per room, loads of room, there's 2 single beds and a pull out sofa bed. Luckily we got room 3 which is away from leonardos bar so pretty quiet and very cool so no need for Air Conditioning.

The pool is great and the pool Bar is very reasonable (2 euro's a pint)

The complex is secured by 2 locked gates after 5 pm which can be a bit of a pain for a large group as there's only 1 key per room so we got a written warning after the 1st night after a few of us had trouble getting back into our rooms. But with a bit of planning this wasn't a problem afterwards.

The complex itself is literaly 2 minutes from the main strip, the bottom gate leads you straight into leonardo's which is the last bar before you hit the night life.

There's a cracking English cafe on the perimeter of the complex that does English Sausage & Bacon (Full English 3 Euro's) also does a Scottish breakfast.

1 Downside is there's no reception on Saturday & Sunday which caused a little hassle as we tried to organise keeping a couple of rooms on as we didn't fly back till late Sunday, ended up costing 15 Euros to keep 2 rooms on for an extra 5 hours.

Overall everyone in the group was very happy with the place and you couldn't ask for more considering what it costs. Rooms were cleaned 3 days out the 4 we were there.
