Just returned from an amazing 2 weeks holiday in Jandia. Having never been to Fuerteventura before, didn't know what to expect, all i can say is WOW! The Villas were lovely, as a previous reviewer stated the only down side was the lack of air con/fans, not a good place for the less mobile traveller as the villas are situated up a fairly steep hill. The accomodation was spacious and scrupulously clean. Cleaners came in 3 times per week and the beds and towels were changed regularly. Fresh bread and pastries can be delivered daily (by 9am) to your room and can be ordered from reception. Please note you will have the same delivery each day until you change it/cancel it. All the staff were friendly and helpful, they advised us of places to interest to visit and more importantly recommended some beautiful restaurants. La Savides is a fish restaurant in Morro Jable just a short walk along the beach - the food was excellent and we made several trips here during our stay. Que Rico is an itallian Pizzaria on the main beach road.. having 2 teenagers this place was a must.. Pizza's were gorgeous, pasta dishes supurb. And the 'China Town' chinese restaurant also on the beach road was excellent the staff here could not do enough for you and the food was lovely.
Jandia beach is simply wonderful, i've never seen a cleaner beach! Sunbeds are available at a charge, we found it cheaper to buy a couple of beach brollies and position ourselves closer to the sea. The sea can be a bit rough at times so keep your eyes on the little ones! Watch out for that breeze, it is a bit deceiving and on a couple of occasions resulted in a few over cooked shoulders! On the days when the breeze was a bit strong the pool was a welcome change from the beach, small but perfectly formed and not over used by the residents, there were times when we had it all to ourselves..paradise! All in all a fabulously relaxing holiday..just what we needed.. we will definitely be going back. Just a note, on previous holidays we have been used to changing travellers cheques/ currency in small beaureax de change dotted around the resorts, here the only place we found was the local bank, they make a charge and are only open on weekdays, there are cash machines about though which accept most cards.
