Booked a room in March for one weeks stay in August. 10 days before arrival with everything organized, we get a call that they can not give us a room and they will cancel our booking. So we begin looking for alternative accomodation and we see that they are still selling online but at double the price of what we paid, so from what we gather they start off selling at attractive prices but then later if they think they can sell the cheap room they sold to you, at a much higher price to someone else they will. Before booking I advise you to actually call the hotel and get something in writing that if they cancel you they will pay compensation, because to suddenly be left with no hotel at the last minute is very upsetting and costs a lot more to book another hotel last minute. While we were on holiday in Santa Ponsa we went to this hotel to see and ask what was going on but when we got there we were met by a family in the reception shouting at the receptionist with the wife in tears, as apparently there was no room for them. Seeing this we decided that it just wasn't worth it and this family obviously were in a worse situation than us, so we left. Just wanted people to know how this hotel operates.
