not having been "upmarket" before, my wife and I enjoyed our stay so much, we have booked into another Iberostar hotel in C'an Picafort, north Majorca, for 2012, all inclusive this time. We just could not fault the hotel or its very attentive staff. Rooms cleaned daily, restaurant staff remembering what your choice of drinks are for meal times. I would recomend this chain of hotels to anyone, young or old. Here's to our 2012 holiday, really looking forward to it.

Stayed at this hotel Sept 2011. The service was incredible from all the staff especially bar and waiting staff in the outside pool area. Being an adult only hotel made all the difference, no children in the pool!!

We pushed the boat out for a special holiday in Santa Ponsa and although we did enjoy it overall,there were certainly areas that should have been better.
The setting of this hotel is lovely and the views spectacular but I feel the staff could do with a bit more training on customer care. Once we were kept waiting for 3-4 minutes while the lady on reception finished her phone call. She didn´t even make eye contact with us to let us know she had seen us and once she did attend us it was as fast as possible to get rid of us. Another day we had some family members staying at another hotel who came over to wish me a happy birthday, and they included my 2 little nephews. Well you should have seen the attitude and faces the staff pulled when my husband asked whether it was o.k. for the children to come in for 10 minutes. Children are not allowed as guests at this hotel, which we understand and was one of the reasons why we booked, but common sense and a little flexibility is surely not too much to ask in certain circumstances? In the end they reluctantly agreed, but to be honest it had ruined the moment and we decided to go outside to a cafe instead. Apart from that the rooms are very nice and the food is good. Santa Ponsa is a lovely resort with a very big,clean beach and many nice bars and cafes. A day trip to Palma is a must.

Stayed here for a week at the end of the season. Beware we were told that there would be entertainment but there wasn't. Room was excellent although we had a small kitchen area there was no kettle which meant hiring one. You also pay for the use of the safe. Outside pool was cold and inside pool wasn't much warmer. Food generally was OK but as this was a buffet you had some of the guests touching food without using any of implements provided.
Staff are friendly and some others have said there is only two staff on the reception which means there are delays. This is used mainly by Germans who were quite lowd most of the time. Note for those who may have difficulty walking although the hotel has lifts there are some ups and downs to walk into the main part of Santa Ponsa. Most of the drinks are branded which was a plus although the brandy was only spanish.
