We liked the hotel. Having booked via Travelzoo we had a nice upgrade of the room, enough space and a clean environment. The cleanliness was very much OK, the bed rather to the hard side but fine.
The food was - excellent. Every day there was a surprise - 2 weeks in a row. The service spoke a number of languages and were attentive to us and the two meals were sufficient. I think all-inclusive is not necessary with such a fine buffet morning and evening.
The hotel is for people who like it quiet, although they had some entertainment in the evenings.
I missed WiFi in the room, there is only free WiFi in the lounge and bar/veranda-area free of charge but in the evening it is pretty busy there and you lack tables to put your laptop on. The bibliotheque is a bit more quiet but again only sofa-tables plus bridge-playing seniors around :-)
Pools were cold but clean, "real beach" 200 meters distance.

We stayed in the Bahia Del Sol in August 2011 and had a lovely time. The hotel is in a lovely location on the left hand side of the bay and is only a short walk to the main beach. There is also a lovely little beach about 200m if you turn left out of the hotel and the Nautical Club is also worth walking to. The town centre is only a 15 min stroll away and is a lovely walk past the beach and the pedestrianised prominade. The hotel is very attractive, lovely rooms and is spotless. The dining area is beautiful and the food very nice, with plenty of choice, although I wouldn't say it was 4* - definitely 3* though. The staff are friendly and helpful but snacks and drinks are quite pricey. Recommend going to Ricky's for food which is about 50m if you turn right out of hotel, or baguetteland, which is just a little further. The pool area is nice, although a bit small, but we could always get a sun bed. There were very few English holiday makers in the hotel but it had a lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We went into town every night and enjoyed the live music in the Irish bars. The Dubliner (Hobys playing- they are fantastic!) and Durty Nelly's were our favourites. My student son's were with us and found plenty to do in Santa Ponsa but also went into Magaluf several times as it is only 10 mins away in a taxi. All in all we loved Santa Ponsa and would definitely recommend this hotel. We were definitely in the nicest part of Santa Ponsa; the right hand side of the bay and 'The Square' are to be avoided!

Great hotel except the one annoying aspect was the sauna being open one day and then closed the next, i don't why they did this ? It was nice to come back and have a swim and relax in the sauna but it's closure when you expect it to be annoying. Overall though a lovely hotel.

Stayed at the Bahia Del Sol in August 2011 with my son and mum sharing one room on a half board basis. I was really pleased with the Hotel. The room was a good size with twin beds and a single bed, with TV and writing desk and a large french sliding door to the good size balcony. The bathroom was good as well. The staff were helpful and friendly.The restaurant food was excellent, with a really good choice of hot & cold dishes (buffet style) in a light and spacious dining room. There was entertainment every night in the main bar/ballroom. The outside pool was a good size, with smaller paddle pools for the really small children. There was an inside pool which was really good to cool down when it gets too hot outside. Table tennis billiards were available as well, poolside. Really young children are well catered for with part day entertainments schedule and a disco at night. My son aged 9 was a bit too old for this though. Would definitely go back. The resort was good as well.
