To be fair our 1st week at the Priorat was fine, the living area and kitchen were clean, the kitchen had plenty of pans, plates, cutlery etc. There was a four ring hob and an oven with grill, a large fridge freezer and we also had a kettle. The bedrooms were fine, plenty of storage for our clothes. The bathroom could have done with being redone, the shower curtain rail was held up with a bit of string and the shower curtain was disgusting, there was also a washing machine in the bathroom but ours had no front on the draw and therefore we were unable to see what the program settings were. There was no maid service but we had a pile of clean towels and sheets for us to change the beds ourselves we also had to take our rubbish out to the bins in the street.
We were in an apartment on the street side and there was a bit of noise off some of the surrounding pubs which didn't bother us. The pool was not open for the 1st 6 days of our holiday so we had to use the one at Salou suite where we checked in, which was about a 5 minute walk away, not good when you have 2 small children and lots of things to carry.
On the 7th night of our holiday a very large group of 18(ish) year olds arrived at the Priorat, there was 24 of them in the apartments on our floor. They we very noisy, music blasting, scraping the funiture, playing drums on the tables, shouting and banging on each others doors this went on constantly from us coming about 10.30 until they went out at 1.40am but then they came back in through out the night, they were knocking on the main door and ringing the buzzers as they had 1 key between 6, they were in the pool at 6am, we had no sleep for 2 nights in a row. We did ask them on a number of occasions to keep the noise down as we had 2 small children who needed to go to sleep and it was after midnight so we we not being unreasonable. I felt sorry for the security man as there were just too many for him to control. The police were called twice to the apartments to deal with them. After the 2nd night of no sleep I asked to be moved else where. I just feel that if they let large groups of teenagers into these apartments they are not really suitable for families with young children and would rather let others know.
The Priorat were in a great location, we had a 7 day pass for PortAventura and we got the bus from the end of the street, we bought a 10 trip ticket from the supermarket for the bus, this saved us 7 euros rather than pay single fares for 5 of us on the bus. There were plenty of shops nearby and the beach was about a 10-15 minute walk.
