i thought it was great, good for young couples and brilliant for family's 10 mins enjoyable walk to the beach lots of shops reasonable prices and brilliant little market at the end of the main street and only one hour on the train from barcalona ;)

whoever gives this hotel the slightest praise must be mad,all i can say if anyone gives this hotel 1 star must be blind,worst 10 days of my life NEVER AGAIN

My partner and I stayed her for 10 nights in July. We arrived and were straight in our rooms no problem. The room was clean and tidy with everything fully functioning. The food was of good quality but I admit it can get repetitive if you stay for longer than a week. Restaurant staff were helpful and friendly, and so were the bar and pool staff. They remembered who you were and we're always smiling and said hello to you. The main downside was the pool area, you had to be at the poolside first thing after a quick breakfast at the front of a silly queue to then RUN for a sun bed which even then you weren't guaranteed. Some people just came to put a towel on the bed even if they were going out for the day and you didn't see them on the dumbed all day, but if you tell the life guard about it then he will remove their towels so you can have them. Location is fab, only a 5 to 10 minute walk at most to get to the main street, beach and bus stop which are all great. Buses are frequent and cheap and get you to where you want to be in no time, but can sometimes be packed so your not guaranteed a seat. Excursions are absolutely fantastic. We went several times to Portaventura, and we also went to aqopolis, did a downhill bike ride, went for an amazing day in Barcelona and loads more. I read reviews on here before we went and was terrified at some of the reviews! But don't read the negative ones, they must have caused their own problems there as we had absolutely none, had an amazing time and would certainly go again!

we booked to stop at this hotel in october 2011 and what a mistake we made. when we arrived at the hotel it was after 11pm and the staff on reception did not look as if they wanted to be there, miserable came to mind. we were given what was supposed to be a pool view but to see the pool we had had to go to the side of the balcony and lean right over. the pool itself was filthy with dead flies and debris from the overhead trees so you would not want to get in it, the odd person that did use the pool did not stay in it for long because it was like jumping into a bath of ice.we went all inclusive and the food was edible if you could find a clean unchipped plate and clean cutlery which was a game in itself.The evening entertainment was mainly spanish and to get served at the bar was a nightmare if you was not spanish. we have had many holidays and though not all perfect and never expect them to be have never felt the need to complain but on this occasion feel the need to. The rooms are tiny but ok if you if you dont mind using what bit of floor space there is trip over your cases.The bathrooms were not cleaned very well and the taps were thickly covered in limescale.I could go on about many problems wrong with this hotel. Salou is a lovely place and i highly recommend it but avoid this hotel, we will be.
