This hotel was booked purely for price and location and reviews previously read. I did find however, that they didn't seem too friendly or interested in English speaking guests? I think they were of the opinion anyone speaking english was from England they didn't like it? We found this alot. When we mentioned Irish or American people in general seemed more friendly.
The hotel room itself was fine - great sea view, nice balcony and enough space for all our needs. Hired the fridge for 3 days and as we were room only we didn't sample any of the foods or drinks in the hotel. We were close to the beach and busy streets. Felt one had to be constantly aware of the obvious pickpockets and unsavoury characters that you spotted here and there. All in all the hotel was fine, pool was clean. We didn't see any of the nightly entertainment but they seemed to get a good crowd.
Was surprised with the amount of SPEEDOS the men wear around... and I certainly won't miss alot of that ! Would avoid the sister hotel next door - the Margarita - the room was like a prison cell with no bars. Ended up here by accident due to mistake with booking and French air traffic control strike!
Thankfully the weather was nice for our long weekend here and we had an extended trip which allowed us the advantage of visiting Barcelona for two days. Wouldn't be in a mad rush to go back to Salou but enjoyed our mini trip.

I read the rewiews on your site after we had booked this hotel and I was a little worried. However I cannot understand the negativity that people had wrote. I found this hotel very clean, maids came to the room cleaned an changed our towels daily. Our room was plenty big enough. We had a view looking onto their sister hotel. I would definatly recomend that you requested a balcony or paid extra for a sea view as some rooms are in the lower section of the hotel with no out look. The food was lovely, great choice and varied throughout our 10 day stay. The hotel had a lovely pool and great baby pool which our children loved. It is also in a great position to walk to the gorgeous beach or catch the 'Noddy Train' for a tour of Salou. Overall we had a fantastic holiday.

ok so ive read the reviews ,ive just returned from Salou park heres the truth.If your looking for 4* then go to Blaumar ,Magnolia or Las vegas, they are beautiful.this is not 4* more like a basic 3,saying that its very clean and the food is good,although not as much choice as others ive been to.its close to the beach and all the shops ,nightlife etc. it does cater more for the spanish,and german market, but was no problem for us.
Over all if youve booked this hotel and are worried dont be .a holiday is what you make it and this hotel is in a good position to have a good time

We drove down to Spain in search of sun to escape the dire weather in the south of France. We arrived in Salou "on spec" and having checked out a couple of other hotels, found the Salou Park. We didn't know what to expect - but actually, to our surprise and delight - this was a real find. It was inexpensive (certainly compared to the UK and France) The sea-view room, for very little extra charge, was great; the view was magnificent. It was clean and spacious (the mattresses weren't that great, but it was only for 3 nights so the backs held up surprisingly well!) and the bathroom large and well equipped. The hotel staff were polite and efficient. The food was superb, certainly some of the best we've had in a hotel of this size - possibly to do with the fact that the hotel attracts an international clientele with a lot of French guests. The dinner and breakfast buffets were marvellous, laden with lots of delicious food, with something to please everyone. We would not hesitate to return in an instant.
