“Get what you pay for”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2010

Was very reasonably priced. Food was what you would expect from a Spanish Buffet hotel, plenty of choice although left overs from dinner made the breakfast bar (fish fingers :-) ) only one tray of that and plenty of other choices. Cant expect any more really from the price we paid, was toast, juices, coffee, hot food, cold meat, fruits etc. Not a huge choice at dinner but again, you get what you pay for.

The location was great for us, not too noisy but easily close enough to walk to Salou front and back, stopping for coffee on the way back in a great bar over the road from Oasis Park.

If you are looking for a base, with a clean room, OK food and near enough to the beach and transport links to have a great holiday, would definately recommend it.

Also my mum left her bag by mistake in restaurant and within 5 mins, the intact bag was handed to us as the restaurant manager has walked around the hotel to find us, very pleased.

“did what it was needed for!”

this hotel was fine for a place to stay..very close to everything..cleaned every day and staff were nice but didnt have much english. We went half board so were little worried about food but it was fine. Breakfast was a bit 'oily' and easy to get fed up of it but dinners were great...loads of different food and loads of desserts...they will also do picnic bags for you to take on day trips if you give them notice...we used this a few times and it was great. The entertainment was a laugh, the fella in charge of it was great fun, my kids(teenagers) had a ball doing the different games every day....darts, shooting, water polo etc.
My only negative thing is we were staying at the front of the hotel and it got very noisy every night for hours....nightclub down the road.

“Yes, we liked it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2010

We stayed there for more than a week. My main disappointement was the absence of hair-dryer. But, now I believe, I will take it to every trip)
*We liked the location - the hotel is situated not far from beach. But, at the same time it is a little bit apart from city center (20 min of walk, 2 min by bus), we liked it, because it was not noisy, pretty nice, supermarket is just near to the hotel.
**We choose breakfast and dinner. I can't say that the food was various or that there was plenty of dishes, but there were always a choice of fish/meat, salads, fruits and sweets. You should take into account that you'll have to pay for the drinks at dinner - about 1.5-2 EURO for beer (0.33) or 6-8 EURO for sangria (1 l). You cannot take coffee or tea at dinner - it was a pity. You can take them in the pool bar. Drinks at breakfast are free. And there were no tea. Trick: You can buy a teabags in supermarket and use hot water at breakfast.
***Rooms are clean, comfortable. They are not huge, but it's OK for 3 stars.

Me and My husband where staying in the Mediterraneo Hotel, hotel is very clean , food is good, bedrooms where a tight squeeze but i suppose thats just to get your head down... entertainment at night in the hotel was bad.....during the day it was the same cd playing, they seemed to turn it up to get attention but nobody seemed interested.... the pool was ok, we where going to upgrade to all inclusive when we got there but i am so glad we didnt has the entertainment was NONE.... They wanted 20 euros per person to upgrade to all inclusive
We went out most nights which you have numerous bars with better entertainment...
Once 12oclock midnight approached that was it... drink up

“good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2010

Good location for the beaches, shops, bars and nightlife of Salou. On a steep incline with quite a lot of steps to the very nice pool area. Our room was basic but clean, maid service every day but she only made the bed and changed towels didn't clean much. Safety deposit box, TV good sized balcony. The food was great with show cooking every meal time. We went AI and found the drinks to be of a good quality, the snack bar was ok, burgers hot dogs, chips, but it rained one afternoon and the outside bar closed and so did the snack bar so from 4pm there were no snacks that day. The entertainment was music all day and not much more at night the guy doing it only spoke Spanish and loved to hear the sound of his own voice on the microphone but he was always happy and we enjoyed watching him dance and sing really badly. We met people from all over Europe and found the hotel to be a really friendly place to stay.
