Okay, first of all, I REALLY must respond to the review below written by Albaman.
You're In Spain for crying out loud! They have siësta's between 2 and 5 PM, which is EXACTLY the reason for the 'late' dinner hours. Honestly, we've been to the South of France and Spain and it is their habit to have dinner after 7PM. If you are not willing to adapt to the country in wich you are celebrating vacation, I suggest that you stay home. You obviously expect that everything and everyone must adapt to YOUR needs. Guess what: The world does NOT revolve around you. Every other guest that was at the hotel during your vacation has payed the same price and expects to enjoy it's vacation to the fullest. They also want their children to enjoy the childrens pool, and have dinner and lunch at the times they prefer, and use the bloody elevator. It's their holiday too and they have just as much the right as you, to use the elevator and not the stairs! It's not because you happen to have a young family at the time, that everything must be adapted to young families, their are young couples, old families with teens, old couples and groups of friends there too and you shall receive the same treatment as all of them do!

Sorry, but I really had to get this off of my chest. Now, my review:

We've been to H10 Europa Park twice now, once in August 2010 and the second time was in September 2011. We'll be returning in July 2012 and can't wait for our holiday!
The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, always helping you with a smile on their face. They're ready to provide you with all the information about Salou and surroundings you need.

Our room was spotless. As a young couple, we didn't need much room for just the 2 of us. Yet both holidays we had a spacious room with lots of room to keep our clothes and other objects in. We had 2 big beds for the 2 of us, just lovely!
A nice balcony with a table and 2 chairs is provided. We had a view of the plaza Europe last time, which was nice. Despite having been placed at street side, we were not bothered by noise or any other sort of trouble. The television receives a lot of channels, we were able to watch the newschannel we're used to in Belgium every night. It was nice to have something familiar like that. Also BBC, Dutch, German, ... channels and others available. Also Disney Channel in both English and Spanish, nice for the little ones when mum and dad are taking a nice bath!

There's a safe in the closet, which we thankfully made use of. It was very nice to know we could place our money, cellphones, camera's and stuff somewhere safe when going to the beach or pool.

The bathroom was provided with a bathtub that was more then big enough! Always nice and hot water available without having to wait for it. They replenished the cups for brushing or teeth every day. There's a hairdryer also, so don't bother bringing your own!
Oh and there's a shower screen to, if you prefer taking a shower over a bath. Towels were clean and soft. There's a note in the bathroom, which very specifically instructs what to do when you want them replenished. If you do NOT wish to use it again, simply put it in the bathtub. The ones in there will be replenished, the other will not. I think it's nice that they think about the environment this way, 'cause indeed not everyone minds using their towels twice.

The room was cleaned every day, it looked spotless. Trashcans were always emptied, clean sheets every other night, clean towels when we asked for them. Floors were cleaned! Someone said they weren't in a review below, but they definitely were! I spilled a bit of lemonade next to the bed, it was all sticky but if you didn't know it was there you wouldn't have noticed. When we returned to the room at night, the stickiness was gone so definitely cleaned! Also no dust or anything on the nightstands, so they really do clean properly. The bathroom looked spotless too.

The food, was delicious! There was lots of choice. Indeed no childrens buffet, but there always was something simple they'd have enjoyed. I'm a very fussy eater, I honestly think your children will like more then I do, and I found at least 2 options to eat everyday.
For breakfast there was lots of cold choices. Bread rolls, toast, French bread, apple sauce, plain yoghurt as well as the danone cups with different fruits. Chocolate breads, croissants, ...
For warm choices there were always at least 2 types of eggs, sometimes 3 (Fried, scrambled, omelets) and there always were hard boiled ones too. There was bacon, sausages, those hash brown potato things, tomatoes, ... Every morning there were pancakes or grilled ham and cheese sandwiches (tosti, croque monsieur or whatever you'd like to call them).

Didn't have lunch, did have dinner every night. Lots of cold salads (pasta ,potatoes, rice, cold vegetables, bread with parmaham, ...
Always a different soup too. For mains there were always french fries or baked potatoes and pasta with bolognese sauce. In One week we had: Meatballs in tomato sauce, lasagna, cannelloni, chicken, (chicken) and normal kebabs, cheeseburgers, roasted ham, baked fish, breaded chicken escallops, pizza, pork ribs, ... Didn't look at vegetarian/fish options much but there were plenty of options. Desserts were great too. there's a freezer with different flavours of ice cream. We had tiramisu, vanilla pudding with cookies in it, lots of pastries and different sorts of cake, chocolate and strawberry mouse, ... I don't even remember half of the choices, there were so many. One thing is for sure, it's impossible not to find something to your liking, or you'd have to be trying really hard not to find something...

The pool looks small on pictures but it's big enough for everyone! Enough sun loungers too and very comfortable ones. Some umbrella's yet I don't get why you'd want them, you come all the way to Spain for sun and then go hide for it underneath an umbrella?
Anyway, the water's nice and warm, yet refreshing enough, just the perfect temperature. It's clean too, but not too much chlorine or anything.

Didn't see much of the entertainment program, but what we did see was really fun. Acrobats dancing with fire and flamengo dancing.

Location is nice, the boulevard and shoppingstreets aren't too far too walk yet it's far enough not to be bothered by noise or crowdedness. You really must go see the show with the new fountains on the boulevard, it's so wonderfull! Also, at the end of the covered main shopping street when viewing the old fountain, go left. Walk a while and at a certain point you'll find a nice little market on your right. Some nice jewelry for a much lower price then in the big shops in the main shopping street!

We loved it and will be going back this summer. For those who have no good word left about H10 Europa park: Keep in mind that you're paying a 3 star hotel price for a 4 star hotel! If you want the luxury of a 5star hotel, then be willing to pay for it and stop whining!
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone!

My family stayed at the Europa Park, Salou from the 4th to the 11th June 2011.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. Both in the cleanliness and the food.

We arrived late on the 4th June and were allocated room 252. On entering the room we found a large cockroach in the room. There was also a cockroach in the restaurant a couple of days later!

The room was also never cleaned during the week – only the beds and towels changed. Perhaps this is why there is a cockroach infestation?

We were also very disappointed to find that H10 no longer keeps food for late arriving guests, as was the case when we stayed at the Esmeralda in Fuerteventura in February 2010. We were served with water, bread and cheese but this was hardly a substitute!

The timing of the food servings was also extremely bad. The Evening meals did not start until 18:30 – this is completely out of order. We had with us a 1 year old who is fed here evening meal at around 17:00 usually and will usually be getting ready for bed between 18:30 and 19:00. To have this completely inflexible meal time meant that our daughter was becoming extremely irritable by the time that we could take here down to the restaurant, and would not sit still for very long. They need to start serving food for young families at 17:00 at the latest and having all inclusive drinks and snacks.

The standard and range of the food fell well below our expectations. We specifically booked an H10 hotel due to our previous experiences of H10 and especially the food.

There was very little choice on offer and the food quality left a lot to be desired. We were used to plentiful quality food at H10 hotels with individual show cooking of your own choice of meats etc. With young children it is important that you can get plain meats and pastas without sauces and additives etc.

In the Europa Park everything is mass produced and there is very little show cooking and where there is very little choice. The children’s menu had to be asked for and there was little choice. It was all usually burgers and hotdogs etc which is no use for young children. They need fresh, plain meats, plain pastas with available sauces etc to add yourself. There were also no yoghurts for the children.

Also not being able to access drinks machines for water and juice at lunch and dinner was a disgrace. How can you expect a baby or toddler to go without water and juice for these meal times! We are also used to just helping our selves to juice and beer at meal times in H10 hotels.

Our daughter was restricted to eating bread and fruit for the majority of the time we were there and that is not good enough.

They also allow inflatable boats etc to enter the children’s pool – THIS IS A DISGRACE. Our 1 year old daughter was in peril every time she was in the pool from these monsterous boats.

They also held the adult evening entertainment outside from 22:00 to 00:00 on at least 3 occasions. The noise levels were horrendous and our daughter was woke and did not get back to sleep for hours!

Overall, with a few exceptions, the staff were not approachable and were not pleasant.

The lifts also were not adequate – small and always full. They should have been restricted to those with disabilities and those with young children who were unable to use the stairs.

There was no kettle in room as promised and the safe was locked when it was supposed to be available to us. There was no key in the fridge which meant that our daughter could open it as she pleased!

Everytime I tried to use the wifi in reception it was not working!

H10 hotels have gone down drastically in our estimations after this.

The noise from the entertainment calms down after midnight for those on the pool side but the racket from the TV bar over the road can carry on for longer on the road side. This is followed by the drunks stumbling down the hard floored corridors, then your neighbours through the paper thin walls. The wheelie bins are next, just to break up the 24 hour traffic on the main through route in front of the hotel. You can lessen the effect by leaving the aircon on all night and using earplugs at 4 Euros from the chemist.
The room had a cracked washbasin, a failed bedside light and peeling paint on the shutters but no armchair, rubber mat for the slippery shower base waste basket in the room or proper bathroom door, just a smallish piece of frosted glass in a large doorframe with no catch. No automatic replacement of soap, shampoo etc, you had to ask at reception for those. They will rent you a kettle for 4.50 euros a day, the same as a fridge, so take your own kettle and teabags. No clock radio which I am used to in any class of B&B let alone hotel.
The breakfast was OK, but try to avoid the dinners, and as for lunch, you can get much better for under half the price at one of the many nearby eateries.These also feature good beer and wine to go with your meal at an excellent price, most as well as using tablecloths. The Europa Park does not use tablecloths, just cheap place mats, like Burger King but unlike any other 2 star hotel I have been in.

This hotel is very good looking rooms are well decorated and so is the hotel. Gym is very small and I never noticed anyone using it. The food was good but by the second week the choice was limited again children s entertainment good the first week but second week the entertainer was tired and late and a bit off. think she was worked too hard . Also by the second week there were a lot more Spanish at the hotel so the entertainment was aimed more towards them as in there was no translation what so ever. I had a couple of problems such as I needed to change rooms this was done straight away, then I noticed a large crack in the balcony window this was replaced without fuss and finally the chamber maids forgot to change the bedding I rang reception and the problem was solved. The staff are very robotic, there was no apology just a solution and don't really smile or speak no matter how much you try to speak to them. But they all were working hard so may be this was the problem.There was a young German football team staying the second week and every morning they walked past everyone to the front of the breakfast cue and were very rude they almost stud on my 3 year old daughter! The football team took over the place and were playing football in the corridor at all hours.On the up side the little park is shaded for the kids and is kept clean and the head housekeeper makes sure that the bar and restaurant area are cleaned properly. Sponge bob and buzz visited one Friday and then hello kitty the next Friday but if you were not spanish it was impossible to get your childs photo taken with them and my daughter went up to hello kitty and was ushered away telling her it was too late. I was ripped off a couple of times once in a shop where the staff sold me a broken ornament ( I realised this was what the shop assistant was going to tell me until she was stopped by the manager) Playa trips are also more focused on people from other countries and once they have your money the staff are very rude and so are most of the passengers.If you want to go to Barcelona or/and zoo go on the train and plan your day yourself. The next time I was ripped off was a reus airport where I paid for a bottle of 6 euro water twice because my daughter carried it drinking it the second time we went to pay for another snack. When I explained what had happened to the staff they pretended that they could not speak English and could not understand. The airport on the way home is the last place you want an argument so I just left it( make sure you buy nothing from the airport) Salou is an alright place for a holiday as long as you dont bother anyone Spanish unless you can speak the language very well. I would go back again but have learn t a few lessons and will brush up on my Spanish. If the staff at this hotel were a lot more pleasant with the English customers then this hotel would be excellent but as it stands the attitude of the Spanish workers and residents towards the English is what ruins the holiday
