Hotel was clean. We had a room on the top floor with a nice view, but varanda always windy. Better to be on top floor though as I understand it is noisy on lower floors due to bus stop being outside hotel.

The hotel is on a bit of a hill, about 15 minutes from the centre of Salou, and bus stop 5 minutes away, but the beach was nearby and nice and sandy. The pool at the hotel was in the shade most of the time.

The entertainment was either non existant or excellent, we saw some excellent flamenco dancers and some brilliant brazillian entertainers - well worth looking out for and staying in to see.

Make sure you go to the toursit information office, they give better prices for trips and the area, the car hire from the hotel was over £50 per day, but we were quoted £23 per day at the tourist office.

It rained quite a lot, so we went on a coach trip, a bit pricy but we got a good tour of Barcelona, and saw parts we would not have thought to visit on our own. The next day we took the train, again a good trip and gave more of an insight into the Spanish way of life.

Food OK, but we are vegan and I rang the hotel twice to check if they would cater for us and they said yes. However, they did not provide any extra food for us, and most of the food had meat in it, rice with meat, soup with meat, vegtables with cheese grated on top. So we had chips and veg or salad every day, and potatoes and beans for breakfast, they did supply a carton of soya milk, but once it was gone there was no more. My Daughter who is 10 found it a bit of a struggle, they did do a nice vegtable and noodle soup a couple of times, but it seemed a bit of a struggle for them. However I must say the Paula in the restaurant was excellent and did seem to try to get us some decent food.

Oh beware although it is half board, they expect you to buy their pricy drinks and got very stressed when i took my own water. Even when I explained it was to take some tablets.

All in all the hotel was OK if you want to use it as a base to travel round the area, but would not want to spend time there as there did not seem much to do during the day.

At first everything was normal and standard ...the check-in,the receptionist that doesn't know what smile means and an annoying tour guide outside pitching out his tours so loud and in every possible language. When we got to our room I honestly was terrified. The size was ok, but everything else was not. It was dark, green  and dirty or maybe it looked so dirty because everything in the room was so old, that it made it look like that. It disgust me so much I did not want to  sit down on the bed , not even talking to sleep on it. The bathroom was the same old and filthy. It just looked like something from the bad ghetto movie. All I wanted was to get out from there. The receptionist was busy on our way down, so we decided to look around for other hotels in the area. After we found a decent stay we wanted to check out the same day. When I approached the front desk with the problem I had, they were rude immediately. The Lady sad if I don't like it it's my problem and not hers and that I can move out right now, which I was doing already. No apology , no offer to take a look at another room...nothing just pure rudeness! My mistake was asking for a refund for the second night, because we had the booking for two nights. We did not stay the first, but I wasn't asking for two nights either. Oh my God what had started! They have just flipped. Would not call me a manager or even give me his or hers name.Left me standing there a lone for quite a while probably thinking I would leave , than came back. And it wasn't about the money at this point. Rudeness like that is unacceptable in the hospitality service. NO matter how upset the guest is it is the receptionist job  even to decline something polite! One of the staff  literally gave me the middle finger and dropped the F word!!! I left helpless and almost in tears. But that's not all. Two days later my friend remembered that she left her trench coat at Playa Park. When she called the hotel and ask if they had found it in the room, we found out  that such reservation on that name( my name I booked it)never had existed. They said, that such person had never checked-in and they don't know who or what she was talking about. So now they are also  thieves and cons!   So think twice before you stay there. There are better hotels (I have stayed in two others after all)in the area with the better location as well.

We were there from the 16th-23rd Oct and enjoyed every minute,friendly staff ,rooms cleaned every day , food ok , free a/c - good entertainment at night which was geared to the more mature (which we are) a sea view (ask for a room overlooking the pool) and close to some wonderful beaches, about a 10 min walk into the center (all down hill) shame it was all uphill coming back lol .
Bus stop right outside the Hotel where you can catch the bus for Tarragona - Reus - Barcelona and we tried them all , and we were lucky because the weather was great ( we were told it was the hotest Oct for 20 yrs ) There was the odd noisy sod but there always is ! lol

It was AWFUL! It's far from being 3 starts Hotel. I've traveled all over the world and this place looked nasty. Old furniture, plastic table and chairs, security box lock is broken. The whole feeling is not clean. It's very far from the center of Salou, you have to walk about 15-20 minutes. For the price that I've paid it's totally not worth it. The stuff is mean, not even trying to be polite and absolutely don't care about customer satisfaction. I just couldn't stand it. I booked another hotel and guess what nobody cared. Nobody offered me upgrade or refund. Nobody tried to make me feel more welcomed. WASTE of money and nerves! NEVER in my Life!!!
