stayed at dorada palace july 2010 myself; partner and 3 children; its in a great location about 15 min walk to portaventura and the same to the beach; entertainment was excelent. rooms are of good size and spotless clean; apartment was cleaned every day and change of towls and sheets everyday as well; staff very freindly could not fault this hotel and would give it 10 out of 10

loved this hotel, cant wait 2 go back. Food great, something 4 everyone. Entertainment team work very hard! There were some fab shows. Reps extremely helpful. Central location. Hotel itself is spotless. Hotel staff very accomodating and polite.

My husband and I took our then 3-year-old son on his first ever holiday abroad to Salou and stayed at the Club Dorada Palace. We stayed half board in August 2011. The room was always spotless, tidy, and comfortable, very good bathroom facilities. The hotel staff were friendly and polite although many could not speak English very well, and some not at all. The pools were great, playpark was loved by our son, and entertainment was excellent. The kids club was great as well, and Salou is brilliant for family holidays with lots to do, kids themeparks, great sightseeing, excellent beach close to hotel. However!!! I would not recommend half board! The breakfasts were ok, but the evening meals were horrific. I am a vegetarian and most nights all I got to eat was salad! And even my meat eating husband wasn't happy with food. Our son refused to eat anything in the restaurant which isn't like him. So we ended up eating out. There was plenty of lovely restaurants we found and we were happy with that, but it was annoying that we had paid half board and yet were forced to eat out every night as the food was so bad. Would recommend self catering!
