“One of the better places in Salou but lots of Russians”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

I stayed Hotel at this Hotel for 6 nights in August 2011. its in a good area close to beach maybe 5 minute walk and the same again for the central area for shops, bars restaurants.

I booked the hotel myself ,room only, through Hotelopedia- and paid about £70 a night (Ii left it late and it was the middle of August). This was much more than I paid in barcelona for a four star in city centre.

I got a SC room on the ground floor very close to the pool which made my stay enjoyable. If i was two or three floors up Ii do't think I would have enjoyed it as much.

The other guests were mainly spanish families and Russians on package Holidays. (three meals a day ) so at meal times we were the only people by the pool.

I found the staff very helpful and spoke good english but the SC units do not have a kettle, tin opener etc- which you have to request (they bring them to your room). - a little surprising for a SC basis.

Overall I would say the is one of the better refursbished hotels in Salou but probably wouldnt stay again due to all the the hotel mainly catering for Russians who do not seem to have been anywhere else before.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the ground floor

“very good hotel.”

stayed there for a weekend break. mid october. hotel is one block from the main beach in salou. price for a room was 45 euro /night. rooms were big , 2 double beds, small kitchen as well in rooms. towels and linen changed daly. have to say there is a great breakfast[ included]. very surprised. dinner was 12 euro for the buffet. tip; bring your own drink, small bottel of pepsi 1.80............. dont worry about parking in salou from october till march, its free on the public roads, and there is plenty of spaces around the hotel. small issue the sounds from the nearby rooms could be heard. not very loud though. this hotel is close to all the bars etc. price of a pint 3 euro.

Room Tip: if you dont like lifts stay on the ground floor.

“couldnt find fault”

very clean central and close to the beach. we stayed there with our 1 year old baby in october, nice pool, lots of sun loungers nice and quiet, lots of old people there and not many english speaking people but that didnt bother us as we wanted somewhere quiet, a very good buffet breakfast, crap coffee but lots of choice. nothing spectacular about this hotel but very good value for money.

“Never Again...Avoid this place”

Serious lack of good customer service...........................................
No attempt and/or no desire to cater for English speaking guests,
Very poor so called "entertainment" ONLY IN SPANISH
Noise from plumbing all through the hotel all night long.
Lazy Reception Staff..who cant be bothered to inform you of changes to airport transfer pickup times when they are advised by the companies to do so.
Just AVOID... at all costs and go somewhere else and spend your hard earned money.

“Poor Poor Service....Disappointing rooms...Bad attitude towards English speaking people! NEVER AGAIN”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 July 2011

This hotel was a huge disappointment....firstly the rooms are very basic and dull...barely more than a hotel room. On our first night the air conditioning leaked everywhere and left pools of water in our room, destroying some electronics we had with us....had to ask several times to get it fixed. The oven didn’t work and the 'self catering kitchen' area doesn’t even have a kettle....so we couldn’t cook anything or even make a coffee! Worst of all was the disgraceful amount of noise throughout the night.....not the entertainment provided until 12 am (all in Spanish)....but the unbelievable noise throughout the night....like bin lorries were outside our window all night.....and water pipes made the worst noises all night long....there was no sound proofing at all…...it was impossible to sleep. The swimming pool is also very basic....and the play park is pitiful!
At the end of the holiday, our coach transfer to the airport turned up an hour earlier than the scheduled time of 9.50am, and while we were having breakfast in the hotel (booked in for B&B)...the driver of the coach came in asking for us and the hotel phoned our room and made no attempt to walk a few feet to the breakfast room and let us know our coach had turned up early and were calling for us in the reception area. They sent him away and only after we checked out, sat waiting for ages on the coach to arrive and went back into the reception to get them to check where the coach was, did they bother telling us that they turned up early. The attitude from the reception and the coach company was disgraceful and unapologetic.....costing me an extra £150 Euro to get a private taxi to the airport so we wouldn’t miss our flight.
AVOID this hotel at all cost......disappointment to our holiday...especially when I had researched accommodation and thought this was a good choice….VERY WRONG!!

Room Tip: Try another hotel
