“Close to Marina and Railway Station”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2011

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the railway station (4-5 minutes walk). The hotel is quite Spanish in character, and the continental breakfast reflects that, as does the restaurant. The staff are friendly, helpful and pleasant. The rooftop pool is warm, probably more geared towards Autumn/Spring guests rather than Summer ones, and was virtually unused by other guests during our 6 night stay. The room was quite spacious, with a balcony lookind down on the front street. A quiet hotel, no noise at night. WiFi is available free in the lobby, but I could not connect at all at the pool and only sporadically in the bedroom. If you intend spending lots of time in the entertainment end of the prom, it's a 30 minute walk there.

Room Tip: Request a bedroom where Wifi can be accessed.

“Good location for the train station. The hotel is OK.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 April 2011

We stayed at this hotel only night. In the positive notes staff are very friendly and always there to help. In the negative notes, the room is boring and lacks furniture - tv is a joke.

All in all the hotel does the job but I wouldn't stay here for more than one-two nights. For longer stays there are much better choices in Salou to choose from.

Best:
- Modern interior
- Friendly staff
- Outdoor pool
- Close to the beach

Worst:
- Booked a double bed, received two single beds on wheels pushed together that kept rolling away
- A good 20 minute stroll from the main restaurant/bar area

“nothing is like you think it is”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2010

the only good point is the location : you walk five minutes and you're on the beach.
but :
- the standard room is so bad (samll, old and dirty) they automatically offer you to upgrade (20 euros more for each night). I was so unpleased, they offered me to pay "only" 25 euros more for two nights.
- the noise : you can here everything from the hotel (people talk, room cleaning...)
- the bed : too small for 2 (only 140 cm)
- the cover was dirty
- the breakfast is ridiculous
- you have to pay 16 euros a day for your car, but if you drive 5 minutes from there, you find a open car park for 6 euros a day.
- the swimming pool is on the last floor of the hotel, very small, with disturbing bad music coming out of old installation.
- the "fitness center" is next to the swimming pool, in the sun.
-the spa is nice but you've got to pay for it.

“more 3 than 4 star”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2009

We have just returned from a 2 night trip at this hotel. Location was 3 mins from the beach and 3 mins from the train station. Down a little side road, the rooms looked out on to other bulidings. The standard rooms are basic, more 3 star than 4. Only one bath towel per room so we had to ask for more or take them off the maids trolley. The AC was turned off in the whole hotel for the season, which meant the rooms were very hot and stuffy. Sleeping with the windows open cooled the room down but meant all the outside noise was heard as it echoed off the surrounding buildings. The bin men do the main collection round at 2am. There is a small roof top pool and 3 pieces of gym equipement. There was also a good view of the Khan ride at Port adventura from here. Breakfast was a basic buffet service. There are upgraded rooms at a suppliment which may be more 4star value.
As it was October half term week the town had mainly closed after the summer season so there were a minimal number of basic places to eat. We spent most of the time at Port Adventura getting a taxi there (€6) and a bus back( €1.75 pp).The beach looked clean and the water fountains gave a good display in the evening. Location good for a summer beach holiday with the AC turned on.
