“A Holiday is what you make of it and san diego was brill!”

Me and the bezzie came here for a cheap 2 week allinclusive holiday in sept 2011...reading reviews we werent impressed but we came with an open mind. first of all the weather was amazing for this time of year we were amazed! lol anway When we arrived the rooms were still being prepared for our stay, so we were given AI bands and told to get a drink and have a snack round the pool till our room was ready...luckily we had bikinis in our hand luggage we got em sttraight on and took full advantage of the all inclusive alcoholic drinks :D hehe **on first impressions the bar staff can look like there giving you dodgy looks...but once introducing ourselfs we grown to really like the staff specially raul and elvis! If your nice to them they will be nice back...the wait was quite long for the rooms but we werent bothered we were having fun already and loving it! the room is rather small coz they stuck 2 massive double beds together but on the whole clean and tidy. My friend is quite picky about food and had trouble with the amount of choice you got...A little tip eat alot at brekkie cuz its the only really great meal really as there was loads of choice cooked brekkie, cereals, cakes, pancakes etc at lunch and dinner they had near enough the same rice, pasta, salad, fish, potatos quite basic. We did have to eat out a few times as it got very samey but for non picky people theres lots of choice. If u miss lunch u can have a snack at the bar which was always good toasties, burgers, chips, etc. Entertainment was decent kids disco then had an act on like dancers, the parrot shows awesome make sure u watch that! but jamie one of the entertainment team always played same songs after the entertainmet but with a bit of persuasion started putting on some good tunage before we went out :) across the road is a great place called the Victoria its a bar with a club licence so stays open till 6am and was perfect for us as was stumbling distance lol had great acts and kareoke! there is still plenty of choice of bars and clubs literally round the corner.
The pool was great, and jaccuzi even better! fab when u wanna cool off. When talking to other holiday makers around the pool few had horrible comments about the hotel but all there problems were resolved, and we hadnt any problems so we didnt really let it effect us. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and loved everyminute! needed more spendo than we thought but still took full advantage of food and drinks :) Definately recommend to others, A holiday is what you make of it of course so make the most of it and enjoy it!

Room Tip: **Pool view rooms do have a bit of noise from the club over the road at night

“Lovely hotel in a great little resort”

We stayed early June for hubbie birthday and took daughter out of school. Very impressed by the hotel and staff. Weather just got hot as we got there. Food was lovely and the pool and outside area very good. Hotel is in good position, far enough from centre not to hear discos but not too far to walk from bars. Visit Chaplins and the Irish bar next door. Visit the old town of Salou.

“wont be going back!”

Me and my family have just returned from this hotel yesterday and being truthfully honest its the worst hotel ive been in so far as we were ment to be going to the best oasis but its currently under renevation, the only entertainment you got was bingo which you got every night, flamingo dancers every saturday which lasts at least 45 minutes and the same music which was played every night, no kids club at all.. they just let the kids run wild on the stage next to the pool at night which wasn't very safe looking, there was no problem with the cleanliness of the hotel rooms, the reception staff were pleasant enough but the bar staff were a complete joke especially the ginger haired woman and raoul, as they only served you when they wanted and were very ignorant when they were handing you your drinks and food, they occasionally gave you a dirty look, the food wasnt the best and you didnt have a wide range of selection to choose from, the location is terrible as you are stuck away up near cap salou where we asked not to be put as its no where near the shops and is up a big hill, during the holiday a few members of my family got offered drugs after being offered sunglasses a number of times, also 2 young women in our party has been followed right back to the hotel after shopping in town during the day, i would strongly recomend that you do not come to this hotel as it is nothing like some of what others are saying, this was our experience yours might be different.

Me my boyfriend, son 3 yr old, mother and father went for two weeks all inclusive! Sep 6
We arrived one hour before you were able to check into your room, but the reception staff were very helpful and we were all given are AL bands and told to relax with drink to the rooms were ready.
Rooms - have basic two beds, tv (spanish), wardrobe with hangers, full bathroom and balcony with table and chairs, the air conditioning was bit off problem because it was 35degrees and was not turned up enough but we asked for remote at front desk which helped also tip is you have to keep balcony door closed for it to stay on lol the beds were made everyday and room was cleaned.
Rep - Micheal was so nice and helpful diffidently go on meet and greet as he has some good deals and one of our best nights was the pub crawl with Micheal so much fun :D
Entertainment - The kids club was good my weeman enjoyed getting out off the sun an colouring pictures. There was kids disco every night for one hour followed by different shows bird, dancers etc which were all really good and funny. The music was same CD every night was its only downfall and very loud to 12am.
Location - There was spar at corner, a park across the street and 2min walk til beach it was great location with lots restaurants and pubs an clubs an shops!
Food - For 3* hotel we were very surprised
Breakfast - cereals, buns, all type breads, fruit, all types eggs, saus, bacon, beans, cheeses, freshly made pancakes and omelets etc orange an apple juice cold water and champage.
Lunch - all types meats and fish burgers, saus, chicken etc salads, chips, pastas, potatoes, deserts and lots more,
Diner - same as lunch with more variety from steaks freshly cooked to fresh fish cooked there were different themes every night which was nice change with mexican night were all woman receive real red rose which was lovely I would say there is something for everyone to eat as my father and boyfriend are fussy and they enjoyed the food!
Snacks - burger, omelet, chips, beans toast, toasty cheese ham, ice cream etc
Drinks - Pepsi soft drinks etc got pick from 3 cocktails which were gorgeous, all local alcohol and mixes u wanted!
Staff - All the bar staff were lovely and very nice people, if your nice to people there nice to you! I think you make your own holiday, we had brilliant holiday and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Salou :D

“Enjoyed my stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2011

Came back from a 2 week stay here and I enjoyed it so much. Like other hotels and resorts it does have low points but the highs out number them. Hotel room was a double room with a poolside view above the entertainment stage. Quite small but enough for myself and my son who I shared with. Room was cleaned everyday and we were given a change of towels each morning. Bedding was changed 2 times per week and the maids were really nice especially Alicia. Thankyou Alicia. Food was pretty much the same each day and my son, nephew and brother who are all fussy didnt take much to it. One or 2 of the service staff could have smiled a little bit more as Im sure it wouldnt have hurt but the majority were so nice and happy go luck which was pleasing after reading previous reviews. The 1 big let down for this place was the time at which the bar closed and the time at which all inclusive stops at the bar then ofcourse the entertainment and the lack of things for kids and small children. It was pretty much non existant although the bar staff would more than often make up for this with their fun and laughter. Raul and Elvis could and should have their own stage time and along with Elena, these 3 great people made a huge difference so many many thanks to you guys. I met some fantastic people here so a huge thankyou to Angela and Leon, Allan and Liz, Davie Sharon Nathan and my wee pal Cammy and Terri her friend and little lad who left before I could say goodbye. Hope you guys got your pen back..A big thankyou to Gatsehead Ian and his family too. Hope all of you are well

Room Tip: Try and have a balcony or atleast a window that allows for air as the air con gets turned of after a...
