We stayed in the Salou Pacific last week. Was worried about the reviews but It wasn't as bad as I had thought, I mean it wasn't really clean (more like a hostel than hotel) You room isn't serviced either, thats Ok too. You have a wee hob, a microwave, fridge and tele in your apartment (make sure you know the setting on the back of tele is set to English if you don't speak Spanish) We went to use the hob on day one but we received electric shocks from the bench and metal work surface (was worried the building wasn't earthed) They sent up a repairman straight away to fix it, But after that everytime we tried to use the hob after that within minutes it would trip a switch (luckily our fuse box was in our room!) Nevermind we were on holiday and as we'd asked numerous times for a toaster downstairs and never received one (think you have to go down at 10am each day as soon as reception opens to try get one) We decided to use our extra pennies and eat out! It saved us buying washing up liquid a scourer and a tea towel anyway!!! Did have to buy our own loo paper though! Bathroom smells of sewage too But you can just close the door when not using it! Make sure you run off the taps too as water sometimes comes out brown! Christine the lovely Irish lady behind the desk was an absolute gem! She must deal with irate customers alot and still manages to smile and be helpful (She and the Spanish non English speaking manager seemed to be the only people running the hotel) Which means reception was closed alot. You have to tidy your room afterards and remove all rubbish or you are fined so make sure you know this! Our 6yr old daughter was with us she didn't bother about anything, and we had a lovely holiday I mean it's not the ritz, it's an experience and a place to stay... So we'd probaly go back it's central, easy to find and it's pretty much OK!!!!
