I stayed at the Aparthotel Sunny Beach back in May when I visited with my mum.

Rooms were spacious and nice and clean. Beds are a bit on the hard side but that doesn't bother me at all and there is some traffic noise from the street that runs alongside the beach but that was nothing that a few drinks on the evening didn't sort out - a couple of tia marias from the bar round the corner and I didn't hear a thing!! Other than that the staff were friendly (on our last day our flight didn't leave until late in the evening but staff provided us with bathroom and shower facilities to use until it was time to go) and they also booked our taxi and held on to our luggage for us.

There are some really nice places for breakfast less than 5 minutes walk away from the hotel (we didn't need lunch afterwards) then there is a really nice carvery just up the road. It is also a very pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the marina.

The hotel itself is basic but what do you expect for the price? If people want a higher standard of hotel they should pay the extra cash and book into a 4* instead. It is a novelty in many places to get a decent view but in this hotel, you get a gorgeous view of the beach from every balcony. Granted that the kitchen area is quite small but it was perfect for me and mum (or for anyone really who doesn't plan on eating in the apartment al the time)

I would definitely recommend it and we go back in September and I can't wait !! :-)

I found the apartments to be clean, yes basic but good value for money, all rooms have sea view.
Close to everything, nice little pool area.

worst place I have ever stayed in. Bed very uncomfortable, balcony dangerous sloping and with broken and loose tiles. No umbrella's around the pool, or anywere else for that matter. Booked for 7 nights stayed for 2.

stayed here with 3 friends in sept 08, these apartments were so cheap , e200 for an apt for 5 days that we all got one each!!!
they were spotless, comfy, well equipped, across the road from the beach , and best of all, every apt in this hotel has a balcony and sea view!!!
only qualms i had was the amount of cats! there were everywhere, i was on the top floor so it didnt bother me too much but if i was on the lower floors.....yuk! they hung around the pool all day, didnt look very clean and were outside the front door everytime you went in and out, i must point out that i am an animal lover, but i dont know anyone who wants to see 7-10 cats at the pool or at the door of your hotel all the time. really a pity and spoilt what would otherwise have been a perfect review, these apts are near restaurants , pharmacy, bus stop, shops , beach, they have it all, just get rid of the cats!!!!
