We stayed in this hotel as a couple in May this year. We had read some of the reviews but decided to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt. Lets get the bad stuff out of the way first. Rooms were a bit like staying in my old school shower room with a bed thrown in (the bed was comfortable) The best thing about our room was the great views we had, seaview to the left and mountain view to the right. After just one day we realised that the hotel catered totally for the French alone, the activities were all geared towards the French, the evening entertainment was spoken in French and 85% of the food was french. Dont get me wrong i dont have a problem with the French its just if i wanted French id have gone to France not Spain and you did feel a bit alienated at times. Luckily i studied French in school so i was able to translate most of what went on in the hotel to my fiancee. I was quite happy with the all inclusive drinks however my fiancee did get fed up of having to drink beer out of 125ml plastic cups. The food was okay but having paid all inclusive we did get a bit fed up of it been the same thing every day, Having said all that, all the staff at the hotel were polite and cheerful and very helpful. The entertainment staff worked really hard to make your stay fun and after only a couple of days remembered our names and would always come and ask us to join in the activities. I had my birthday while i was out there and they presented me with a certificate and bottle of sparkly (which they didnt have to do) All in all, what could so easliy have turned out to be an awful holiday turned out alot better purely because of the staff, definatley Palia la Roca's best assett!
Room Tip: try and get a room higher up and facing the windmill roundabout to get amazing views
