“Good location”

Stayed at these apartments in a private apartment for a week late December. Main areas were clean and well kept. Our apartment had a large balcony on the corner but most had a rather small balcony. Mainly residential but all the quieter for that. Pool looked lovely but didn't venture in. Apparently sunbeds have to be paid for daily. Right next to Bonanza Square where we ate three nights. Lots of variety; Chinese 3 courses starting from 4.00 euros! Try Spanish restaurant on Ibensa Square (just round the corner) where we had a three course with wine for 21 euro. Lovely food, big portions and a lovely welcome.
There is a large supermarket on Bonanza Square. Lizzie's bar on Telfonica was a great find. We ended up there most nights. Great welcome, no tv (a bonus), good background music. Had a great night here on New Year's Eve.

The only negative was the hill. It must be a nightmare in the summer.

“Need cleaners everyday and rooms are only big enough for two.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011 via mobile

I went there on a girls holiday in august 2011. The rooms were basic too small for three in each room. The sofa bed had the wooden slates missing and a thin matress thing to go on. Because it was august we paid alot more than i would ever pay and i woulldnt go back to the apartments. If you rented a room of a tenant im sure it will probably be alot better.
It was handy to have a supermarket near us and an irish bar that we had breakfast in and an ice cream bar that had all different ice creams.
I would say if you want to be near to the marina and 24 hour square dont stay here.
The big pool was great some most of it too deep for my friend that was a non swimmer.
If you want a week away and get it cheap enough go but i wouldnt reccomend for a girls holiday go nearer marbella or even better go to tenerife and stay in the columbus hotel or laguna park 2 but is further away from town.
If you have trouble walking th complex is based on a steep hill and you can wallk down to the beach but is no good if u have difficculty walking.
we also had a cleaner that occasionaly gave us more toilet roll but the floor wasnt cleaned or the beds at all and there wasnt extra sheets if we wanted to do it ourselves.
we had a balcony which was nice as we could see the pool but that was also cramped.
there is a bar /cafe that was open in the day but not in the evening.
there were only a couiple of other groups in the complex that were english which was no problem for me but if yuou want to meet other people i wouldnt reccomend it.

Many of these apartments are privately owned & are let out to various companies mainly throughout the summer, some are still leased by tour operators & to be honest it can be a lottery...

The first time I stayed it was with the then Airtours & the accommodation was clean but basic to say the least, this is when it becomes a lottery but aren't many package holidays anyhow?

This time I rented a private apartment & this time the accommodation was spot on...but I did ask the owner for a few photos of the apartment before I sent my money & to give the owner her due it was the same apartment.

The pool area I found a little surreal, it felt it did not belong to the actual hotel but people seemed to enjoy themselves, it looks perfect for a small family.

Location wise it was about a 25 minute stroll down to Benalmadena Costa where most of the action is but what ever your preferences are...try visit the marina, it can be a bit pricey to socialise there but have a wander around anyway.

Uphill from the apartments is the quaint but lovely little village of Arroyo de la Miel which is about a 10 minute walk - it is slowly getting swallowed up by Benalmadena but has the 'okay' Tivoli World' but have a stroll around I found it quite laid back & had some lovely little Spanish restaurants plus most of the larger supermarkets are located on the edge of the village...but most important if you like to go further afield the RENFE train which will take you one way as far as Fuengirola & the other way all the way to Malaga - it also serves the airport if you do not have a transfer facility.

Around the Zodiac Apartments there is a fair few bars & places to eat, many typically English sadly but if you want typically Spanish you may have to go a little further out,

Room Tip: Try & communicate with the actual apartment owner a while before your holiday, this could stop a...

i dont know where in minerva some of these people stayed, but we stayed in roon 1005 and it was an great studio, with every thing you could need. On arrival there was milk, tea, water, supplied which was great as we arrived late in the night. We couldn't have wanted for anything more there was even a washing machine, shopping trolley, safe and even your own sunbeds
This is our second stay in this apartment and we will be returning again next year.
