We stayed here from the 17/12/11 to 07/01/12 and it was the best three weeks of our lives the hotel did more than live up to exspectations and the biggest bonus of all is if you catch the bus 120 right outside the hotel within 20 minutes or sooner you are in fueringola or the same bus the opposite side of the road within 15 minutes you are in toromolinos stay on the bus for another 5 minutes and then you are in malaga and just a 5 minute walk you are in benalmadena town centre you could'nt ask for a more well situated hotel anywhere in spain where you can have all four resorts for the price of one, and all these bus fares are a flat rate at 1.50 euro which for the distance you travel is for nothing compared to the uk, anyway there is'nt anything whatsoever to fault this hotel with and l seriously mean that absolutely nothing, in fact if anybody out there has booked this hotel please take me and my family with you because we loved it so much, sheets towels changed everyday staff very pleasant and bent over backwards for you oh it was a joy to have booked this place, it is a 4* but by rights it should be a 5* we are going back this christmas and we will continue to do so, this hotel caters for every need from fitness to food by the way that reminds me we are a family that never eat at the hotels we stay in but we tried it one night in the sunset and by heck we never looked back it was absolutely delish and a fair price too but do walk to the mariner to your right outside the hotel walk straight down for about 10 minutes and you will come across the beatifull mariner where we ate about 5 times in El Greco and it is delish there are an abundance of restaurants to choose from , but please stay away from the local chinese which is close to the hotel our first night was a disaster meaning raw chicken in the special curry stay clear, stick with the hotel or if your a normal family you have burgerking and mcdonalds right outside of hotel and a big supermarket which is cheap but we found the the hotel market more than adequate, bigest plus 2 big outdoor pools one was heated exellent because we were there in december to january but there is an indoor heated pool as well brill could,nt ask for more even the check in was a breeze, we paid 60 euros for the safe for 3 weeks and got 20 euros back when we checked out so that was cheap also, also if you do book please be advised to ask for a sea view room if you get a mountain view room you will be in the dark all day or worse still tucked up in a internal corner which resembles a concrete hideaway dismal indeed but the plus side these internal rooms are offered cheap to the public especially from alpha rooms .com because the sunset allocate them to people like alpha rooms in order to be able to sell cheap holidays so make sure when you book with alpha rooms to demand a seaview room they will probally say we will do that for you and believe you me they don't so get it in writing, when we got there we asked for seaview but at the desk they said we had no request but because l had it in writing they were more than happy to put us in a seaview which was spectacular so be warned, right l think thats about it for now would l reccomend this hotel and location its a massive yes yes yes... oh l nearly forgot make sure you don't get a room on floor 1 or floor 6 these are busy floors ie entertainments, restaurant. gym, indoor pool, games room etc etc

Room Tip: select a seawiew room not a mountain view room or you will end up in an internal room which are gloo...

“A Great Hotel - spoilt for us by noise above us!”

We were very pleased with our room and it's self-catering facilities. The check-in staff, maid service and restaurant/staff were all great.... In fact I have nothing but praise for this hotel BUT IT WAS SPOILT FOR US by the noise of people in thre room above us moving (or should I say scraping along the floor) furniture at all times of the day and night!!!!

Room Tip: Get an external room ON THE TOP FLOOR or some very good earplugs!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of your stay with us and, in particular for your kind comments about our facilities and staff (I’ll be sure to pass on your praise).

I was sorry to hear that you had problems with noise from the guests in the room above. Unfortunately, we do sometimes get guests who move furniture around their hotel room without any consideration for fellow guests. Did you report this incident to Reception? Our normal procedure under these circumstances would be to contact the guests responsible for the noise and ask them to take more care whilst moving furniture and to refrain from doing so at night. Failing this, we would do our best to move you to another room (occupancy permitting) to ensure you could enjoy the rest of your holiday.

I sincerely hope that this unfortunate incident does not deter you from visiting us again in the future and hope to welcome you back to Sunset Beach Club again soon.

Thank you once again for your constructive feedback.

Stayed in Jan for a short break in a 2 bed apt.Beautiful hotel,I was impressed as soon as we walked in.Huge 2 bed apt which we occupied before the chack in time, as we arrived early.Check in fast easy and friendly. It was a pleasure to see such a spacious apt for 5 people. There were 3 double patio doors which led onto an ample L shaped balcony and we had fab views of the sea and pool area.Couldn't fault apt,in particular the kitchen was very well kitted out with all you could want, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, large family fridge-freezer,oven and micro-wave.Bathrooms and bedrooms very good size, sofa bed very comfortable and sturdy.Hotel had 2 lovely restaurants,a little bit of something for everyone and very reasonably priced. Also 2 bars, entertainment at night was ok, we had a laugh.Large games room for kids and onsite spermarket. For us the location was perfect, not in the middle of everything but everything within walking distance.Overall, very high standards in -accommadation-cleanliness-maintenence.Staff very friendly and professional.Hotel facilities top notch. We all enjoyed our break (even the teenagers), so much so we stayed an extra night and have since booked a return visit Easter week, might even squeeze in a few days in Sept.

“A lovely place to stay”

The staff was very helpful, very kind and have a hospitable mind. Very nice, helpful people in the reception. Also the cleaning ladies! Extra towels was no problem. The hotel was very clean.
We were given a good room, was very clean and had every thing you could need during your stay, even a pack of table-napkin. The kitchen could not be better equipped. The layout was compact, but very practical and comfortable. Very clean facilities. The apartment we had was very well-equipped and had a superb view of the sea. It was extremely comfortable.
The Wi-Fi available in the panoramic/reception area was great. Happy hour from 6.30 to 7.30 each day in the panorama bar is a great way to start your evening .
Great location. We enjoyed the surrounding area which suited us for walking which we did every day. Overall a lovely place to stay and would definitely go back and also recommend to friends as well.
