“good location and value.”

Before we arrived I emailed the hotel requesting an early check in and high floor, which they confirmed. When we checked in we got neither, the first room was unsuitable the staff however said there were no other rooms but then found one.
The room was on the small side two large beds in a small room made it even smaller, the view was of a court yard and a very limited sea view. That said the room was comfortable and clean, and we dont really spend much time in it. We stayed in a standard room, the superior rooms are a lot better, we knew someone at the hotel that was in one.
Food was ok plenty of choice but depends on if you like it. One day the food was luke warm, not much choice of vegetables, be warned the bread rolls are a bit on the hard side.
Staff arent the friendlist but they do have their work cut out. Breakfast starts at 8am but you are allowed in a bit earlier just to get a tea or coffee which was helpful to us.
Have no idea what the entertainment is like as we did not stay in the hotel of an evening, there are plenty of places outside the hotel to go to.
There are two entrances to the hotel, one from the main road which takes you through the gardens or up a hill to the main entrance. The area of the hotel is good from the main road less than 5 min walk through the underpass and you arrive at the beach, walk towards the Marina along the sea front its better than the main road. Would I stay here again, not sure maybe if we got it as cheap as we did but would recommend the area.

“Not as good as last time”

We stayed here in January a few years ago and quite enjoyed all aspects of the hotel.
This time however the food let the hotel down.

At breakfast the bacon if you can call it that was always undercooked which we normally accept, but it was not like normal bacon, more like reconstituted stuff with every slice being virtually the exact same shape and size and regrettably it was tasteless. Sausages were like very small chipolata ones and not to our taste.

Evening meals were OK if you like Fish, Chicken and Veal which appeared with amazing regularity. There was one special "carvery" night when there was a much better choice. There was also a lack of choice of vegetables. However what was available was usually hot and correctly cooked.

We were full board but did not dine at lunchtime, we got on 3 occasions a packed lunch which was very good.

One thing we really did not like was the fact that at times the dining room just did not have the capacity to accommodate everyone and there were occasionally some long queues and waits to get in. This also overloaded the staff who could not cope quickly enough with clearing used crockery etc.

Entertainment was geared to the Spanish clientele some of whom came in from elsewhere consequently on the Flamenco night impossible to get a seat. Most nights the entertainment was quickly over and Dancing took place Spanish style - a shuffle to everything regardless of tempo. There were no daytime activities.

Just opposite fortunately there is the Eldorado which had live entertainment every night, and just below this there are the Jolly Pirate and Mad Axx (sorry not allowed to use the word) bars, and if you turn left and continue up the hill and again to the left you will get to both Bonanza and Ibensa squares, passing the Elephante on the way. Regrettably the Elephante was closed as were lots of the bars. The only other live entertainment we found open was Buzby's almost opposite the Riviera on the main road to Fuengirola.

The hotel was kept spotlessly clean as were the bedrooms which were of a good size with 2 queen size beds. Superior rooms were somewhat larger and had the benefit of a fridge. We found it to be a quiet hotel, and did not hear our neighbours through the walls at all during our stay

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful although the check in procedure was extremely slow.

Hotel is very spread out and has the dining room at one extremity so if you are at the other end it is a route march to get there, so if you have mobility problems make them known and you should get a room with virtually direct lift access.

It is situated on a steep but short hill which is not quite as bad as the one going up to the Bali but this can be avoided by using the door on the main road which takes you up quite a few series of steps, and through the very nice gardens.

Would we stay here again? - Yes if the food were better

“Good value for money”

Just had a weekend at the siroco. Excellant location in easy reach of bars, shops, beach, marina and bus route. Very clean spacious rooms. Decent variety of food in the restaurant. (although i don't think at breakfast they should put the '' CHURROS'' with the chips, bacon etc.) these are meant to be dipped in sugar and eaten separately. We did see a few holidaymakers putting them with their 'Full English' . Downside you have to pay for carpark.

Room Tip: We asked for high room with sea views and got one. It was quiet and overlooking the pool and gardens...

“3 excellent weeks in this hotel”

My friend and I have jjust returned from a lovely holiday there in an adequate room with marvellous views of the sea and gardens. We loved having 2 double beds which were changed every 2nd day and clean towels every day. We didn't like not having any drawers. We loved the food which was freshly prepared by chefs at both breakfast and dinner. There was also a good choice of already prepared food and offered lots of choice for all the nationalities staying there. We missed having a quiet room to read in and English television programmes, but these are petty quibbles!! The staff where always very helpful with any queries and eager to please. Not to mention the weather has been the best weath I've ever had in January.

Room Tip: I requested a sunny balcony and a quiet room. The room was on the 4th floor and was both.

Hotel has good gardens and pool area near beach. BUT rooms badly need a make over. If you want to use the safe it costs us 33euros for 2 weeks, 5 euros refund. Quite pricey for a key!!
Nothing for Xmas but Spanish dont do Xmas like us. gala dinner on Hogmanay (31stDec)! very nice. Food would have been better if it was hot, all meals were the same. Met another couple only been there 20 mins and she wanted home on the next flight. Housekeeping staff very good.
Entertainment was all in Spanish we ended up in the Hotel Riviera across the dual carriage way or in the Jolly Pirate opposite.

Room Tip: try the south side for good sunny balcony. Take a hair drier none provided. No mini bar fridge not f...
