This was our 3rd stay at the flatotel,all i can say is all the staff cannot do enough for you.The hotel,the rooms and the pool area are all very clean and well maintained,the only downside this time was that the hotel supermarket has closed down so its a 10-15 minute walk to the local supermarket.

I visited Benalmadena for a friends wedding that was held at the Sunset Beach Hotel. I chose the Flatotel to stay in, as the price was very reasonable and was only a few minutes walk from the Sunset Beach Hotel. Directly outside the hotel is a bus stop which we used all the time, the buses came very frequently. The hotel itself was clean and I was very suprised at how spacious the rooms were.The hotel has a gym and also swimming pool which I regret to say that I never used but the facilities seems to have been good.

Judging by what we paid, we thought we booked a room at a hotel near the Mediterranean, and were both surprised and delighted wiuth what we actually had. An apartment with a bedroom (two twin beds and walk in closet), balcony, a living room with a TV with English speaking channels, and a well kitchenette. Lots of parking spaces, and 10-15 minutes walk away from restaurants/cafes. A great base for a family or a few friends to stay and tour the surrounding areas. The receptionists spoke English and were very helpful.

The Bad, Tired rooms, needs sprucing up. Restaurant only open for breakfast. Outdoor pool

The Good. Great place to stay, staff are very friendly, nice bar. Well stocked shop onsite. Handy base to explore from. The busses pass right outside the hotel door. Cheap winter holiday but the outdoor pool in not heated.
I have been to this hotel a few times and would readily go back.
