We enjoyed our stay at Hotel La Roccia. The room was clean and air conditioned. it's a short walk to a nice beach and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel has a secured parking lot which was nice. The staff was friendly and assisted us when we had trouble with our rental car. If you are looking for a quiet and basic home base that includes wi-fi; this is it.

The room we had in La Roccia was a good size, with a lovely south facing balcony. The staff spoke English and were incredibly helpful. In terms of location - it was perfect. Less than five minutes walk to the small beach close to the town, and 15 minutes walk to a bigger beach. It is just off the main street in the town, so is close without it being busy or noisy. It's also very close to the main bus stop in Palau, and the ferries to La Maddalena.

The only small downside was the breakfast, which wasn't great. However, overall, it is excellent value for money and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

My friend and I stayed here for a week while diving in Sardinia with Nautilus Divers (the hotel is only 1 minute's walk from the dive centre). The hotel is ideally placed in Palau and has free secure parking on site. The room was very clean and comfortable with air conditioning, and a balcony with good views over the town. The en suite was also good with a great shower - very important after a day's diving! The hotel staff spoke excellent English and were very friendly and helpful. On three mornings we had to be at the dive boat well before the official breakfast time of the hotel but were still given coffee and croissants by the early morning staff. Overall I have no hesitation at all in recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Palau. The combination of location, comfort, friendliness and fair price make it a good choice.
