We had a lovely two weeks here. We have been to this area 'Porto Pollo' a few times and decided to try it out. It is a fantastic location with a good view of the sea and mountains across the water to Corsica. You can walk to the (windsurfing) beach in 10 minutes across the sand dunes. You do need to have a car though to drive to all the pretty beaches both to the west and east of the area.
We had originally booked a monolocale which we thought would be a one 'bed' apartment but it was only one room (think studio flat) with a sofa bed. On arrival we upgraded to a 'bi-locale' (one bedroom) but as none were available we were given a tre-locale for the same price (2 beds). We were provided with a travel cot and this was a good size and quality.
We had a really big garden that our 1 year old loved exploring and we weren't overlooked by anyone else. Inside the apartment is fairly basic, reasonably equipped and all with air-conditioning that at this time of year we didn't need to use much. We had a large patio space and purpose built BBQ outside.
We would recommend it - the location is fantastic and the garden and grounds are very well kept. We did feel though that for the price, the apartment itself was a little basic and needed updating - however we think it is better than all or most of the apartments in the area and would definitely return.
We did try the restaurant, Il Mistrale, and were shocked to note that they did not take credit cards - it did the basic Italian staples well enough.
Contrary to an earlier review, we felt that the owner was very pleasant and helpful.
