Great service at this hotel. After our rental car agreement made on Orbitz failed to get us a car from Thrifty/Dollar at the Olbia airport (the woman behind the desk at Thrifty didn't even care or try to help us) we called the hotel and they arranged a taxi for us for 50 Euros which was a deal considering the taxi waiting on the street wanted to charge us 75.
When we got to the hotel we were greeted by name and received a room on the top floor as requested, very nice and very clean. Even a small balcony.
English not a problem at this hotel. The hotel was quiet, the rooms very dark for sleeping, I honestly have not slept better at any hotel.
When I was sick one morning, the breakfast girl, even though she didn't speak English, gave me extra teas to take with me. I didn't even ask. It was a true gesture of kindness.
We booked on venere.com which got us a good deal at 109 Euro a night.
The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was that they had hidden extra costs...12 Euro a night to park your car, 7 Euro per person for breakfast, etc. These extras do add up. Especially for those of us unlucky with the bad exchange rates right now.
So the hotel ended up being more expensive than we thought, but they were great, so it's hard to complain.
Location of the hotel is ok. It's not seaside, but it's right near the harbor, unfortunately looks over a parking lot. But it's within walking distance of a beach or you can catch a boat to go to the islands.
Takes about 45 minutes to get there from the Olbia airport.
Try to avoid the Pizzeria near the hotel. I got very sick from eating there.
And fyi...renting a car is very expensive in Sardinia. Do it ahead of time (like we tried to do...).
