We have just returned from staying at the hotel Palua, Sardina. The hotel did not come up to the usual 4 star standards that we have stayed in before. Dinner was uninteresting & supposedly served at 7.30pm. The restaurant was never ready before 8pm. Breakfast was limited & we had to ask for coffee 2 or 3 times some mornings. The restaurant staff's understanding of english was so poor that in the end it was easier for them to ignore us & not to give us a choice of meal in every case. The nightly entertainment was the same every evening, a guy who sang the same songs. The pool area had one sun umbrella & with tempratures of 36 degrees it was in great demand, there was no other shade. No towells were available for use at the pool. The hotel website states it is located on the upper part of the town & not at the top of a very steep hill as it was. On a positve note the views from the hotel were stunning.
