Excellent spot in centre of town near ski lifts ( right place) Hotel basic but very clean and brought alive by the superb staff (all 4 of them seemed to be working all the time in one capacity or another) Good food, fresh but no frills.
We had very little snow (wrong time) while we were there but the holiday was made by the two friendly girls and the two other guys (chef and the manager). Good holiday would go again but check weather first. Thank you for a memorable holiday.

I went to regina with 5 other men for a lads ski trip we do every year. We'd never been to st gervais so had no expectations. Reviews I read on here were so mixed we did not know what to expect from the hotel. We were pleasantly suprised to find that the hotel was very clean, warm and basic, slightly run down but everything was fine. The staff at the hotel offered excellent service at all times and were always helpful, good fun and very friendly. The food was at times quite basic, but always of a good quality which is all we needed. All in all a brilliant holiday and I would certainly return to the regina next year!

Booking the hotel involved one or two minor problems. I emailed the hotel to find avaiability, but having had no reply after a week, rang them up and booked over the phone with credit card details. I was told to expect confirmation by the following morning. The next evening, having not recieved confirmation I chased it up and spoke to the owner who was in the UK. I was asked twice again for my credit card details over the next 2 weeks as the transaction hadn't gone through. It was eventully sorted.
The hotel is conveniently situated in the centre of St Gervais. The staff were friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was plentiful, buffet style, with cereal, bagettes, cheese, meat and jam. Staff were british or English speaking.
We had a large, light room at the front of the hotel. The room itself was warm and clean. The bed was very comfortable and we had clean towels each day. The only thing that was a little off-putting was the thick layer of dust on the skirting board in the bathroom and the back of the toilet. There were no glasses for water, but they were happy provided on request.
The decor in the hotel is a bit tired and worn, though the communal sitting area was pleasant and comfortable and had a big TV screen.
The staff were particularly helpful and always happy to provide tea, book transport etc. and that is a valuable asset to any hotel.

Great location, although we did alway want to take the ski bus (free) rather than walk; with ski boots on it was a little too far to walk. Saint Gervais is a delightful town and the Regina is really well placed. The transfer from and to Geneva airport was an hour and was well organised through the hotel. The food was good, wholesome and plentiful but there was no choice (although I assume they would cater for indivdiual needs if required), it met our requirements. My son loved the fact that you could get a selection of free DVDs from reception to watch in your room. We will undoubted go back.
