“Great location”

We stayed at Hotel Les Bruyeres mid January room 802. Our first time skiing in the French alps and the location of the hotel is great basically ski to your front door step. The rooms are nice, small but are very warm. We stayed on level 8 which was a bit annoying as the restraunt is above on level 9 so were woken some days by early skiers or keept up by late dinners. We found that the alps are quite expensive it was 77€ full day for 2 skiers. 62€ for a half day. Food also was expensive 16€ for full breakfast which is fine but we were on a budget so bought ham, cheese and bread for breakfast and ate it in the room. I didnt find alot of infomation on how to get there on the internet. We came from lyon. Caught a train to moutiers 2.5hrs then caught a bus from moutiers to les bruyeres and then a free shuttle runs from bus stop to alot of resorts including hotel les bruyeres. Getting back to london was a different story alot of the connectiong trains did t line up and our train left moutiers at 651 so had to catch taxi from hotel to moutiers 75€ as bus starts at 8. Overall was a pretty good stay expensive but the snow was amazing as was the weather!

“Just what we were looking for”

This was a clean, quiet, basic hotel, in the perfect location for a family with younger children. We had two rooms with a balcony and two baths, daily housekeeping and lots of towels and spots to dry out wet ski gear! The set up with the ski lockers and outdoor pool made for a quick, easy walk to the pistes and a swim. There were three mid-range restaurants within a 5 minute walk, all with terrific adult and kid menus and with no car traffic to worry about. We missed the website notice about limited parking, so if you are driving be sure to book a space in the indoor garage. It was full when we arrived and we had to scout for an outdoor parking space. One short snowfall later and we were socked in! I can't comment on the quality of the black runs as I skied with our youngest (6) on the greens, but my two older boys and husbands had a great time all over the mountain. There are a huge number of sunny runs, too, and a ski school right at the foot of the hotel. My only complaint was the small, crowded steam room ... I gave it a miss. Otherwise a terrific family spot.

Room Tip: Make sure to book parking in advance.

“Brilliant hotel”

My husband and I are just back from 1 week skiing in Les Menuires. We stay at hotel les bruyeres and it was lovely. The rooms are spotless and ski in to almost that back door. The first lift is about 20 m from here so easy to get to the slopes. We stayed Half Board but only ate in the restuarant once for dinner as it wasnt for us. It was fishy dishes and fancy things like that (just not what we would be used too lol). Breakfast was servered in the morning from 7:00 am to 10 or 11 am. There is a good selection for all tastes. Another down side I would say is that the lifts are very slow on coming to your level but it was very busy when we stayed and we will defiantely be back. The staff are very helpful and speak reasonable English (Our French was very poor). I would recommend this hotel to anyone although the location is small and quiet, it was just what we were looking for. The ski school ESF was brilliant and really make an effort to accomodate everyone. First class location for peace and quiet in the evenings after a hard day on the slopes.

Room Tip: We stayed in a superior room

“Very good”

The room was clean and well maintained, with an amazing view to the snowy mountains.
There is a small supermarket and a bunch of restaurants right next to the hotel.
April is a very good season, because it snowed at night, and it was pretty warm during the day.
Strongly recommended.

“Great hotel, well sited, excellent bar, nice outdoor pool, we will be back”

This is a great hotel. It is upside down with the lobby at the top. It backs onto the slopes, and rhe ski room is very handy for the slopes. the room we had was very nice. It has been extensively refurbished to a very high standard, is modern, and no tatty mountain hut kitsch.

Very good outdoor pool which is a bit complicated to use. The staff are great. Car park was too expensive, and you have to use it as the street is full. Breakfast was rubbish, and we had a refund. There are good local resuraunts which you can walk to on covered routes, which is important in a blizzard at night. rarely in a mountain hotel, the bar is huge, with an open fine and when we were there a great vibe. French mountain hotels are expensive, but this one is great value. The gym is very small, but good steam room and sauna.
