Reception staff very friendly and helpful, plus they speak all the main languages. Bar and restaurant terrace over the river - lovely at all times of the day. Rooms and beds are comfortable - not luxurious but more than adequate.
I recommend you ask for a room with view of the river , even if it costs extra. These rooms are quieter and away from the traffic, so you can have the windows open on hot nights.
Le Bugue is a good base to explore the rest of the Dordogne region. Don't miss hiring a canoe and seeing the peaceful stretches of the Vezere River.

The hotel has a great lovation, right on the river Vezere in the center of Le Bugue. It is a family hotel, and we had a very nice stay
there.

Room: room was clean and very spacious. TV was very small and there were only 2 channels - no English channels. Bathroon and toilet were clean, but very dated.

Staff: staff was very nice and polite.

All in all, it is a good hotel, and although dated, I still think that it is a good choice.

We just came back June 2007 The gentleman that was in charge that night was very acommodating letting us choose the room with A/C and an extra bed for our son. The room was big enough. Next day, breakfast time was over and he prepared a table outside in the terrace overlooking the river. A small, familiar hotel with free parking. We felt very comfortable. Nice memories.Victoria.

Right next to vezere river, this hotel was comfortable, clean and large. The Pool was on the roof terrace and although small was really refreshing. Beware, the breakfast are nothing special at all, costing 10 euros each for a buffet consisting of youghurt, tea, cereal and not much else. We were exstremely disserpointed by the breakfasts and did not eat again at the hotel. The hotel is in a prime location for caves, canoes, medieval towns, troglodite rocks and lovely countryside!
