“Cheap cheap cheap”

Not the sort of hotel I'd normally stay at but chosen by a cheap friend. It was cheap and a central location.
Nice grounds but filthy bathroom and the sheets had stains. The kids got a rash from the flacky paint in the pool.
Breakfast became a bit boring after 9 days of the same - noodles rice toast or cereal but you can get eggs if you ask

“You Get What You Pay For!”

Spent one night at this place due to unscheduled re-routing. We payed $32 per night incl breakfast. Yes the room leaked. Our kids woke us up advising that thew were attacked by bugs. There were indeed red marks left on their bodies. Our room was fine. Bed was good. Bathroom was bad. Breakfast was mmmm well the congee was ok.

Best to stay in the dry season, look at the sheets before you settle into the room.

Location is great.

“horrible, dont stay here.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 April 2011

we originally booked a bungalow which we thought had hot water but didn't, shower is only a hand held shower and a pot to put water in, we asked for an extra bed and got a mattress and a sheet, when it rained the roof leaked onto the mattress so we asked for an upgrade which we got and at least had hot water the bathroom was all moldy, the roof i think there must be termites or something because there was some sort of grit that kept falling from the ceiling onto the bed, they didn't change the linen on the beds just came and remade them.
the rooms were dark and the lights aren't very good, in the first room the power point for the TV was coming out of the wall which we had to try and keep my little 1 away from, the food was so so but don't eat any salads (as i brought 1 back up) the breakfast was the same every morning 2 options American or Indonesian, When it rains heavily all of the pathways get flooded but that seems a common thing in Bali. During the day you can hear the noise from the Waterbom but it closes at 6 so it doesn't affect you getting to sleep.
The massages were really cheap and good this was the very best thing about this holiday, $10 aus gets you 1 hour awesome massage. soft drinks were only 8000 idr so that was good. The restaurant staff were very good and helpful, but most of the front desk staff showed little interest in wanting to help you get anything.
we found that the bungalow and the upgrade room smelt like mold in the bathroom and just needed a good general scrub with bleach, and the mirror was very dirty.
the pool was great but very rarely were towels supplied.
the bathroom door did not shut on the upgraded room, the toilet seat was broken and slid around while you were on it, the wardrobe door handle was broken so cant open it.....
hot water was either very hot, cold or luke warm, and no amount of adjusting could get it right...
we don't consider ourselves overly picky people but i and have been to Bali 3 times and have never stayed in a hotel that charges so much for so little......

Room Tip: dont book here

“There are two pendawa hotels in same area. This is one next to waterbom.”

Really great little sanctuary and surrounds. All facing lovely pool. Good free wifi. Yes waterbom is noisy but at least it's not motorbike noise! Stayed at least two weeks and loved it. Breakfast is made to order when not busy and buffet when busy and is pretty good. The actual hotel restaurant is a little pricey and beer is expensive. It would be great if they had a bar or happy hours as there is a nice community feel to the place. We paid $45 for a room, not too bad.

“Was Okay”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2011

I got a basic room with (actually could be nicer) bathroom.. The room is cleaned everyday but towel is changed every other day.. Bathroom is okay, could've have been nicer if they maintain it..

Breakfast was buffet before but now they do it as ala carte.. it was just okay... The good thing is the location, just right at the center of kuta... and near to the beach... Overall is just okay for those whose looking for budget accommodation...
