I booked 8 weeks in advance on a business trip, my travel agent said there were only two places on the island with a room, one was $1,000 a night the other was $189. I opted for £189, I read the reviews and also thought, it can't be that bad, I'll never make that mistake again! The ajoining door is broken so whilst I cannot get into their room they have ful access to mine. The patio door is wedged with wood, the beds are truely awful, the pool was freezing, the furniture is passed tired, in fact the whole place wants demolishing. I am not even venturing into the restaurant following a conversation with the taxi driver on the way there. The taxi driver was kind enough to supply a list of alternative guest houses to try if I'm ever stuck for a place to stay, he was embarrassed for his island to subject tourist or business people to this establishment

This accomodation is a health hazard. Not only were the rooms disgustingly dirty, it is also unsafe. The main reception looks like a filthy minicab office. I had a piece of plastic in my dinner in the Landfill Restaurant. How this 'hotel' has still stayed open is a mystery, as according to the guest book, the last guest was in 2005.

OK - We are all for budget hotel stays, but at the very minimum there should be a hygenic standard. We read some scathing reviews here on TripAdvisor, but thought that "it cant be that bad!"... It was. We checked in and the clerk could not have been nicer, I will give them that, but thats about all. We got a 25 minute lesson on how to take the bus and ferry, but not a single mention about the room - and I know why. When we finally got to the Rose villas, the "best" one on the property, the view was stunning, yes, but the screen was falling off the sliding door, and in the door track were hundreds of ants. You have to touch them in order to open the sliding door, so that was rather gross. The ants were in the drawers and on the table too. I opened the drawer to reluctantly "move in" and lets just say that a birth control method along with remnants of a great night were waiting for me in the drawer. I nearly vomited. There was several mouse droppings in the crevices next to the nightstands and the carpet looked like a Jackson Pollack painting. The people are extremely sweet, bless them. However I dont think I could ever imagine even laying in the bed. We wound up at Pompano Beach club for double the price, but that wound up to be the greatest vacation of our lives.

I cannot say enough horrible things about this hotel- beware! I had never been to Bermuda before and was planning my wedding for August. I looked into ClearView and figured it was a good value for the money- I called the hotel and spoke to the owner. I cannot begin to tell you the lies she told- near the beach (it is a twenty minute walk away) beautiful suites (mice droppings and bugs) it goes on and on. I showed up with my family to find something that would not pass health codes- mice droppings, bugs, stains, musty smells, and mold everywhere! Never mind that I was in Bermuda for my wedding and honeymoon and my entire family had booked ClearView! The owner was horrible- she kept our money and was not at all apologetic about her blatant deceit! Meanwhile, Grotto Bay Hotel was a few miles down the road and felt so horrible that I had been scammed into Clear Views hotel that they honored Clear View's rate even though Grotto Bay regulary gets double the amount! Trust me, stay away from this hotel- it is absolutely disgusting- I have never placed a bad review before but felt I must warn others about Clear View
