Stayed at this B&B for 3 nights in total, 2 at the beginning of our trip and returned for 1 more night at the end. It said 4* on the website we booked through initially but the owner said it is now a 2*. I would never believe that. This is a little gem in the heart of Trujillo, just a couple of minutes away from the Plaza Major.

First 2 nights we had an excellent room (ask for 303 if you go), very large and spacious, nicely furnished with a sunken jacuzzi style bath and shower/wet room, lovely (although no open windows but air-con was very good). On the last night when we returned at the end of our trip, we were unable to get that room and were given room 102 instead - a much smaller and darker room, dated furniture and a tiny bathroom which was clean but not very inviting. Nevertheless, it was perfectly adequate for the 2 of us.

Breakfast is an optional extra on top of room rate and we thought very good value at €8 each.

I can't praise the staff enough for their friendly approach, nothing was too much trouble, whether asking for extra pillows or simply trying to practice our Spanish with them. Lovely people.

If we went back to Trujillo, we would head for this B&B first but would see if we could get room 303 again as 102 let the experience down. Otherwise, very good value and the added bonus of a small pool if you wanted to cool off.
