“Perfect Facilites & Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

I stayed here for a weekend last summer. The hotel’s facilities and the views are perfect. Beware to choose the Westin which is nicer than the Arion for a summer holiday. The Arion is beautiful as well however it feels more like a winter hotel. Service sometimes is tricky however the staff tries hard. Not particularly happy with the Nobu restaurant. Great athmosphere, nice drinks, average food, very expensive.

I can definitely recommend this hotel if you want to stay near Athens.

“Stunning location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

It was my second time staying at the Astir Palace, and again this hotel impressed. It's not the cheapest hotel but you do pay for the luxurious location directly in a sheltered bay, with a small beach and the warm crystal waters of the med to swim in and play about on. The water sports area offers jetskiing, wakeboarding, water skiing and inflatable rings (if you're feeling brave), although having a captive audience has the obvious affect on prices for these sports. The hotel itself is bright and airy and very clean. The rooms are big and well appointed and most have fantastic sea-views. the food in the resturant is good and staff are friendly. I do recommend the Nobu restaurant attached to the hotel, the food is world-class as the name suggests. I Highly recommend this hotel if you don't desire to be directly in Athens central.

“Disappointing”

We were looking forward to staying at this hotel when we went to Greece in September 2011. Upon arriving after a long flight we just wanted to relax at the pool in the hotel. We encountered rude pool waiters. We waited a long time for them to just take our order and to get our drinks. The pool area was empty with just us and 3 other couples meanwhile there were 5 people working at the time. The second time I pressed the button to order water but no one came and after 20 minutes there was a waiter walking by I asked if he could get me water but he said wait and press the button. What a rude experience.
The breakfast in the morning was much better. They had a wide variety of food to choose from and the staff was definately much better.
The front desk staff was also very.
The location is pretty far from Athens center. The hotel does provide a shuttle service to Athens but it only runs up to a certain time.
The sunset from this hotel is amazing.

“Mixed Feelings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

On a business trip, stayed there during the winter, so the pool was full of sand, as it blew from the beach. The rooms were excellent, with a great terrace. The food was excellent as well, in all restaurants. It was a pricey place, not sure if it was worth it. The hotel is quite far from the usual places of interest in Athens. Internet was really bad, especially for the proce tag. It was so slow, it became unusable at times. This would normally be considered unacceptable for a hotel of this category. However, people were nice and willing to help.

“1 night stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

I stayed at The Westin almost 2 years ago.
My stay was for only one night and eveything was fine despite the fact that there was a doctors convention in-house with a lot of people.
Room service was fast and efficient, the same goes for housekeeping when i asked for a comb they delivered in no time.
Exceptional location ideal for small getaways when in Athens

Room Tip: Almost all rooms have a view to the sea
