“Extras just too expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

The hotel staff were delightful and professional. Nice room (I think I might have been upgraded?) with sitting area and balcony with sea view. Tray of fruit with personal welcome note from the manager delivered to my room shortly after arrival. 5 star service with turn down service, etc. However I had a serious problem with the amount the hotel charges for extras. A small beer from the mini bar was €9, I think this is the most expensive I have ever seen anywhere in the world. A welcome package in the spa was an eye-watering €175, even a basic 50min massage starts at €100. I stayed in this hotel at the end of a long trip and was ready to splash some cash on a massage and a drink, but I was just not willing to pay the prices. Food in the restaurant was also expensive. My booking included internet, but €15 was added to my bill, though taken off when requested. Not a particularly good location, quite some distance both from Athens and the airport - a car is essential if you are staying there.

A true diamond and the cornerstone of hospitality in the Athenian Riviera.
A magnificent thalasso Spa, gourmet restautrants and enormous conferences rooms.
Stayung there for an annual sales meeting of a company i discovered the meaning of what is to offer hospitality.
Warm smiles, absolute organised everything and an experience you must live on.
Large rooms , led tvs and bath amenities of real real brand names.

Sure we come back again for family reasons

“Devine Divani again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

We have stayed at Divani Apollon numerous times because it is a family friendly hotel that facilitates our transitional time spent in Athens really well. It is conveniently situated, close to the airport, shopping areas & restaurants. The rooms are recently refurbished, clean & comfortable. The breakfast is outstanding. The pool is a huge attraction for our young children but the beach is their best spot, although it's small & can get crowded. The spa treatments are fabulous pamper sessions for beach body readiness. We also enjoy the tennis court in the late afternoon. The staff deserve a special mention: curteous , competent and good hosts. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Room Tip: We prefer sea facing although the hotel is very well positioned so rooms on poolside capture good vi...

“A Divani Weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

We flew into Athens on the Friday and transfered to the Divani Apollon Palace & Spa in Voluliagmeni. our room had a small balcony looking out to the side of the hotel, but wow what a view. To the left two beautiful pools and the beach, in front of us Athens spread out across the horizon. The room was clean and nicely decorated, shame the shower leaked all over the floor and made the bathroom slippy. it looked like they had tried to put a solution in place for this so at least they were trying to resolve it. We had two buffet breakfasts and one lunch and I can honestly say I have never had a hotel buffet I enjoyed but here I was stuffed and couldnt eat any more! It was varied and excellent quality. I had crepes with chocolate sauce for breakfast OMG! The private beach was clean and tidy and has a small bar serving cold drinks. Only thing I would say is that the hotel is advertised as a 5 star and it doesnt quite make it. I would however recommend it as a short stay hotel and as an excellent base for visiting Athens city centre.

Room Tip: Rooms on right hand side of hotel have good view of athens
