“Staff friendly but not ideal location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2010

The pics of this hotel are quite misleading (what a surprise)! Its near a local shopping centre (very small) however approximately one hour travel on the tram to Athens!! Although travel is cheap, its not ideal a bit of a headach. The location is DANGEROUS as its on the highway a very busy and hectic RD, with what seems like NO SPEED LIMIT! To make it worse is that the pavements are non existent as its a pile of rubble not what you expect from a EU country, sometng in africa maybe, and whatever bit you find is littered with cars!

The beach that they boast is littered with pigeons and rubbish and not the beach holls that one looks for, esp off peak season its quite depressing. Its very expensive, more than UK here. Excursions were found a lot cheeper in Athens! This hotel is in the middle of no where, or shall we say a very very busy RD, and covered in trees, dsnt feel safe!!

On a positive note I must say that breakfast was VERY good with a full raneg of everything, also that room service was excellent, and staff were very friendly and helpful!!
The hotel location is what lets it down!

On a positive note I must

“comfortable hotel with easy access to athens sites by tram”

Friendly clean and comfortable hotel. Near to glyfada centre at about 8 minute walk away. Was worried when arrived about noise from constant traffic on the main road but was not the case as ample sound proofing from double glazed patio doors.
Breakfast was lovely with a selection of continental and cooked treats. Didn't eat evening meal but prices compared favourably with those of the local restaurants. Beach only meters away but you do have to traverse a very busy main road. Hotel has roof top swimming pool with good facilities including sun beds and clean towels. Roof top bar also well stocked with friendly staff. Greece on the whole is expensive compared to London which have also recently visited which is much cheaper. Added advantage of Greece in September is the glorious weather.

“Ok for student budget-not fabulous!”

We stayed here for a last minute honeymoon....it wasnt an ideal location as it was right next to a noisy road, and a shingle/pebble beach that was being used for a car park!
Room was adequate, basic but cleaned frequently and comfortable. Breakfast was very basic, so we ate out a lot.
There was a small rooftop pool area which overlooked motorways, but had a nice bar area with a lovely barman.
Room service was very good, as was tourist information.
Only a 15-20 min tram ride to Athens city centre, and some beautiful beaches.
Ideal for staying for a short trip outwith city for a cheaper rate, but do your research else you will be disappointed!

“Excellent holiday a way from home but feeling home”

If you want to have fun and enjoy every moments of your holiday, I highly recommend Emmantina hotel. The location is excellent close to the beach, shopping area, restaurants and clubs where you can enjoy day and night life.

Beside the outdoor activities, you can have fun and meet people in nice friendly environments on the top floor area and I strongly recommend Sunday Karaoke, trust me you will have fun.

What is unique about Emmantina hotel creates a worm atmosphere and hospitable services. I enjoyed warm welcoming, welling to help, giving direction and most important very nice sense of humour, that make me feel home.

The rooms was nice perfectly clean, ventilated and safe

The hotel is located directly on a highway. And directly means that you have to be aware to go outside the hotel door. To arrive here by public transportation, you can take a bus or a tram. The problem with the bus is that the bus stop is not directly near the hotel, but you have to walk along the highway, without protection and sometimes also in the highway, since some cars are just parked on the pedestrian line or the pedestrian line is completely covers by plants or it is highly damaged… and you have your luggage with you… The problem with the tram is that the station is located at the other side of the highway… to cross you have to infinitely wait for the green (and hopefully the car will stop…) but to go there you have to walk along the highway, which I have described before…
The hotel. My room and the bathroom were relatively wide. But it is more or less all what I can positively say about it. It was really very noisy: because of the highway, because of the air conditioning system (you can switch it off in the room, but it is still noisy because of a constant uncomfortable noise coming from the air conditioning system itself), and parties in the hotels. The bed was very uncomfortable and not particularly clean, as the room itself.
The breakfast was with little choice and average quality.
If you are here for a conference, be aware by using the computer in the conference room. In our case, we noticed it was infected by a virus.
However, the stuff is very friendly.
