“its good, its bad and not ugly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

my bigest problem with this review was the overall rating.i was about to give it 2/5 but it would be unfair so the last minute i choose 3/5 which is quite good rating for this one. reception really needs to have some clear lessons about priorities on their work cause you don't give 15 minutes explanations to a person when you have others waiting to get their keys.anyway the staff needs to try way harder to just do their jobs.
breakfast is average for this type of hotels but only if you find a good price to pay for b&b and noway to pay 15 euros to get it.
anout the hotel prices is the part i love the most.its quite entertaining to snoop around its rates. it's like FTSE 100. you never know what price they ask for. i have stayed many times in this hotel (so imagine how are the rest in the area in the same price range of cause) with my wife and we paied the nights there in many price ranges.from the poor and good 35 euros per night to the very high for this hotel standrads 70 per night.and to be honest i have seen it many times to ask 100+ euros per night and none of these dates are bank holidays or any kind of holidays. i bet they are gamblers and need the extra money when they looses.
the rooms are clean and there isn't a problem with noises.pillows need to be changed or we will need colars soon enough if we stay there a few more times.they are big and hard.
good location for transportation, near the sea and the centre of glyfada.
thats all i guess, so if you ask me you better stay there if you find it 50 euros the most per night.

Room Tip: first of all if you are a couple ask a double bed at once with your booking or they will give you 2...

“Very poor service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

This hotel couldn't have been less interested in good service. After an early evening check in, we went to the bar/restaurant for something to eat and drink and were totally ignored for about 45 minutes. We went to the front desk twice to see if we could get some service and they said they would be with us shortly. We waited another 1/2 hour. The poor girl behind the bar was running back and forth between this room and a wedding that was also going on. It seemed that the manager was busy in his office and not willing to help either. Obviously a problem with the management because the girl was run off her feet. After finally getting something to eat we went to our room where we were forced to listen to the music from the wedding until about 3am. Not welcome when an early rising was necessary to catch an early flight. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. To top it all off, the taxi driver took us to the same address on the other side of town, which cost us a whole lot extra for fare. I know this wasn't the hotel's problem but it didn't help it's cause. It advertises being close to the airport. Not so. Don't stay here.

“We loved it. Perfect for a stopover”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2011

London Hotel provided us with what we were after: somewhere to stay near the beach but also one bus ride away from all the tourist sights in Athens and along the express route to and from the airport and the port.

The staff were excellent and did everything they could to make our stay welcome.

I wouldn't recommend staying here for any length of time because our room was very noisy because of the traffic (not the fault of the hotel) but if you can sleep through anything then it's fine.

I would recommend the area Glyfada which was safe and unthreatening, I found the centre of Athens dodgy so it was a relief to stay in Glyfada. The Athens transport system worked efficiently and we didn't find it too long to get into town from the hotel. About 30-40mins on one bus.

This isn't a fancy hotel. It is basic. But it's clean, comfortable and we loved the nearby beach which we could go swim in after a long day of touring Athens.

Room Tip: Try asking for a sea view room. I would not pay more than 30 Euro's pppn for a room here. It...

“Convenient to the beach!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2011

We stayed here at the end of our 3 week vacation in Greece to have a couple more beach days before going home. The hotel is a short walk (about a block) from the beach in Glyfada, the beach here is not soft sand however and is a bit rocky. The hotel itself was very clean and updated. We reserved a triple room which ended up being basically a twin room with a cot and that was fine, but the room was really crowded with furniture. Breakfast was included with the room and was very good. There is free parking but it is only for about 4-5 cars and is tough to get in and out of. There is street parking around the block from the hotel in addition. We had a car so we drove several kms south to some of the nicer (soft sand) beaches.
