I am not happy with the hotel or the customer service. They didn't have a downstairs non-smoking room available even though that is what I requested since my daddy is 85 and can't walk up the stairs. This hotel is older and has outside doors - which is okay in most cases. The front desk lady did find one smoking room one the bottom floor. It was a very "used" room. I wasn't sure the bathroom had been cleaned lately - so we didn't shower. The door handle to the bathroom looked like someone tried to rip it off the door. There was a big crack on the door, looked like it would fall off soon. It was smelly and not so nice. This is not the quality of room that I expected after reading some of the other reviews. I have stayed in other Super 8 motels and they have been of much nicer quality. (The one in Conway, AR is super great and great people.)
We travel a lot and used our points for this night. I am very disappointed - feel like I wasted my points. At first glance the hotel is okay - but when you look closely not so much. (We slept late due to being tired after travelling, so we skipped breakfast.)
When we were getting dressed, we realized that daddy was moving to slow so I called the front desk to ask for 30 extra minutes. She said, "No because the maids are here." HELLO!!!!!!!!! We must be good customers for the branch of hotels, if we have enough points to trade in for a free night. I have never been denied when I needed a few extra minutes - more especially for a retired, handicapped, 85 year old veteran. I can't believe that someone would do that. I am shocked and appalled. Don't stay in the not so clean, smelly, NOT SO FRIENDLY place.
