My husband and I were traveling back to Houston from Sante Fe, NM and booked one of our free nights and was pleasantly surprised at the room given to us. The Manager graciously gave us a room in the new wing which was spotless, comfortable and we both slept like babies as it was a very quiet room.. Some hotels give you the crappiest rooms they have available if it is a free earned night, but not this hotel...Great job!!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good hotel with all the amenities. Good breakfast also. However, the $99/night rate is a little pricey for a La Quinta on the outskirts of the loop. Once other hotels come up in the area the price should drop.

We booked this hotel for a return trip through Lubbock after a lackluster stay at the Best Western Windsor property.

OK. We had one significant problem with this hotel. I always remove the hotel's bedspread & blanket to replace them with blankets from home. In doing so, I discovered a 4-inch diameter wet spot on the sheets; soaked all the way through to the mattress. YUCK! The blanket & bedspread were not wet, so it was clear that the sheets had not been changed. Again, YUCK!

The front desk employee was apologetic & we were immediately assigned to another room which appeared to be perfectly clean.

The rest of our stay was flawless. Our room was clean, quiet & comfortable. The Tempurpedic bed was especially cozy & the flat screen TV was a nice touch.

We had no problem having our dog along for the stay at no extra charge.

This is a pretty hotel that still appears to be new. Despite the housekeeping problem that we initially experienced, we'd stay here again & would recommend it to others.

This is the newest La Quinta in Lubbock, built in 2006. It's the best hotel we could find here after we walked out of the hotel we originally booked because it was filthy. Lubbock has mostly awful cheap chain hotels built in the early nineties that have not been renovated. No luxury properties. This La Quinta has very comfortable beds with memory foam pads, but the pillows were like resting your head on a rock. I complained and got feather pillows, so ask for them. They're not great but they're better. The room was clean, and there was plenty of hot water. Free wireless internet in the room, and a frig, and flat screen T.V. Nice, long counter in the bathroom but no make-up mirror. The heated, indoor pool and whirlpool are small but clean. A major problem was noise the first night of our stay--screaming kids and the desk clerk not only did nothing but didn't write a report of our complaint so that when we asked the next morning what had been done about it, we had to explain all over again. When we had to cut our visit short to head to Clovis, NM, the clerk was very nice about it, and we were not charged, however, when we asked about the La Quinta in Clovis, he did not offer to call there. Just gave us the phone number! Rates for a king room went up on Friday and Saturday from $99 to $134 and $144, even with senior and AAA rate.
