This hotel was not a good experience for me. My husband and I went to Lubbock for the weekend. We came from San Antonio, and showed up on Friday night at midnight. We had reservations and the hotel was full. Exhausted, we went up to our room and put our key in...surprisingly, the room was already occupied! We went back downstairs with all our stuff, and told the clerk. He was very apologetic and gave us a different room. We got to our room and it was clearly beat-up; the bathroom tile was cracked, there was a leak stain on the floor as you walked in, and the heat wasn't working. The next morning, we woke up, (the bed was so uncomfortable) and realized the bed cover had a giant blood stain on it (and we had slept on it all night!) Then my husband took a shower, and the shower head was broken and kept falling down. I called the front desk multiple times that day to try to get a new bedcover, and I got an attitude on my second call. Finally, the cleaning person came by to clean the room (at 4:30),and I brought the blanket to the door. She took it away and brought me a new cover.
I would say the service here was "ok", the clerks were typcial and the cleaning people were very friendly. The breakfast was also good...but there seems to be something wrong with the "upper" managment- it's clear they do not take the necessary steps to care for their hotel rooms...I was very dissapointed. If you want to stay in a "nice" hotel- DON'T stay here!

Saw nothing to indicate what some of the negative reviews referred to... but were not picky people. My wife just wants a clean bathroom and clean sheets.... I think we might have ended up with a handicapped accessible room? The bathroom was especially roomy. I liked it, though. Young guy working the front desk might be new.

We loved our suite - every room has kitchens, and they are cozy clean rooms. This is our second time staying at Towneplace suites, and both times we've noticed how friendly and efficient the whole staff is. We like that breakfast is free. The only downside during this stay is that there were 3 dirty spoons in the drawer... Only 1 clean spoon, which was gross ... And not what we expect considering it's run by Marriott. Also, we wanted to use the whirlpool but it a) had too many leaves in it and b) NOT hot ... Even though the front desk told us it'd be hot. We couldn't use it... But hopefully next time.

I stayed here 1 night on a business trip to Lubbock. The room was nice and the amenities were great. The staff was very friendly and the location was perfect for where I was going. Starbucks is close.
