I traveled to Lubbock on business and wanted to stay in something other than a chain hotel. I found a gem in the Dawkins House. I was greeted by Debbie with home baked cookies and wonderful tea. I was given the rose garden room which was a lovely as it was comfortable. The neighborhood was quaint and safe (I ran through it with no worries). I also strolled through the lovely garden in the back of the house where Debbie grows fresh herbs. I also enjoyed the conversation at breakfast with Ed and Debbie (which included some of the herbs from the garden).
I cannot recommend this lovely b&b enough.

We recently had a wonderful stay at the Dawkins House B&B to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Debbie and Ed have not overlooked a single detail in this delightful B&B, to include fresh flowers in our room, a CD player with beautiful music to choose from, freshly baked cookies each afternoon, a soft fluffy robe, beautifully appointed rooms filled with antiques, a huge front porch with comfortable gliders in which to read or nap, and a full gourmet breakfast each morning. In addition, Debbie and Ed are two of the most delightful people that we have met and visiting with them was one of the most enjoyable parts of our stay. We will definitely be going back! We highly recommend the Dawkins House. If you are seeking a respite from the frantic pace of today, or maybe just escaping briefly to a more gracious time, you must try this wonderful B&B.
