The HI Laredo was a completely uninspiring stay. The hotel was fine if all you want is a bed, shower and internet. The breakfast, service, gym were completely forgettable. However, one thing I will not forget are the train tracks across from the hotel. Why?? The freight train that runs through at all hours of the a.m. and sounds its horn. The two nights I was there, I was awoken a few times per night. Stay here only if you are a VERY heavy sleeper.

Not much to write about. $109 a night in Laredo??!! We stayed two nights, didn't even get a morning paper delivered to the room for the $109, had to go to the breakfast area to pick one up. Breakfast was all cold pastries, cereals, and bagels. My wife wouldn't drink the coffee, way too thin.

The hotel was clean, the rooms basic. One strange note was the showerheads were mounted at about 7 feet?! I could barely reach it, my wife had to stand on the edge of the bathtub to reach it. Weird?!!

Some people would call these rooms 'plain old vanilla.' That's probably true, but then, that's not all bad. You know what to expect going in and they deliver. Compaired to other Hampton Inn's around the state, this one is a little pricey. Compaired to rooms in other hotels around Laredo, these are about average. I'd probably stay there again.

The hotel is clean, beautiful, well kept, nice breakfasts, as all Hamtpon Inns are. The staff on the other hand, needs to get a little course in customer service. For the most part, the guys were okay, but the women were very rude. Perhaps because we were not hispanic? Or perhaps because I was a white female. Nonetheless I stay there everytime I go to Laredo, because the hotel is wonderful, and my dealing with those people were minimal.
Lovely pool, lovely rooms, all brand new looking furniture, spacious, and very very clean.
