“New owners ruined this hotel!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

The last time I stayed at this hotel there were new owners, and they were very rude. They were not only rude to me and my husband, but they were also very disrespectful to their employees. We saw a mouse in our room and calmly informed the owners and they were very unapologetic, they even had the nerve to say we brought it with us! I will not be staying in this hotel ever again, unless it is owned by someone else.

“Not as good as last time”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

It is still a clean and affordable hotel, but my last stay here was not the best. While traveling it essential that I have good internet conductivity in order to conduct business. The connections to the wirless system were bad. I had to call for help over and over again until I finally gave up. In addition, the shower drain needed to be fixed. I am considering trying another hotel.

“This is the place to stay for the after party”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2010 via mobile

When I walked in the room there was a stinky feet smell I sprayed body spray and it was gone. But the service really made us not mind it. I asked for tooth paste and they even gave me a toothbrush. More family members stayed at the hotel because of a wedding in the city. We got to the hotel after 2 am wanting to continue the party so we took over the breakfast area the receptionist would come and check on us he was really awesome.

“The worst!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2010

I moved rooms within the first hour because of the mildew smell and no internet connection. The next room had a dirty bathroom and leaked and the carpet was wet! My third room was fine except that the staff never cleaned the room, just straightened things to make it look as if they were there. Then the cleaning person stole something from my room and went through my things!!!!! Don't stay here! I've never had such a bad experience with a hotel.

There were a few staff people at the front desk that were nice and I'm sure some cleaning staff are honest but I don't know which ones.

“Good Job overall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2010

This hotel gets the job done. I am used to staying at Hampton Inns so anytime I can't stay there I am leary about what to expect. My stay started the morning of checkin with a call confirming my arrival which was a nice touch. Check in was easy, free warm cookies at check in and a letter from the manager in my room. Wireless internet worked flawlessly. The bed was comfortable. I was weirded out by the last review of bed bugs. Didn't have any effects of bed bugs, but made sure I only touched only the sheets. (I think the last review was a disgruntled customer and saying the word bed bugs sure did it) I did have a couple of minor issues. Could hear the TV next door and the guy upstairs was running, droping stuff, doing something to make it very noisy. Bring earplugs and get a high floor. Another issue was that they didn't rotate the fruit in the breakfast bar. Several of the apples were so old they were wrinkling. I also got a call from the hotel a day before my departure telling me they heard I was checking out early. I never told anyone I was checking out early. It was a little annyoing explaining I wasn't leaving early. This hotel is not within walking distance to anything unless you want to buy a car, there is a dealership next door. (Not a big deal since when in Texas does anyone walk?) The price was right and I had a tax exempt certificate which they took without question, which is usually not the case with other hotels. Business center was good for printing boarding pass, but one computer was out of service, but there never was a line. Overall they are making a strong efforts to excell in customer service and ensure guests have an enjoyable stay. I would stay here again.
