Thier advertisement says "Newly Renovated" but it appears that the rooms haven't been renovated since the motel was built back in the seventies. The breakfast consisted of cereal, old, dry biscuits, cold waffles that were in an open pan on the counter, no juice, no fruit and had no coffee. We rented two rooms. We found spiders in the beds in both rooms there were roaches every where you went. We booked each room for (2) adults and (2) childern but were told we could only have (3) towels per room. There were no pool towels, no pool lights for after dark. The food at dinner very, very salty and the nachos were stale. One of the towels we recieved was so thin that you could read through it and it smellrd like urine but we couldn,t exchange it because they supposedly didn,t have any extra. The manager is also part owner/cook/janitor/repairman and is very rude. When Iasked about the towel his answer was that he wasn't giving me anything else because he had already done enough for me. I assume he said this because when we got to our room the a/c wasn't working and the toilet wouldn't flush so he had to fix those things. When we asked about a discount we were told by the clerk at the counter that the manger wouldn't talk to us and that he left a note in the computer not to give us any kind of discount. We paid 99.00+tax for each room, they advertise room for 39.00 but even at that price is way to high. To sum all this up, I have stayed in some ratty motels and this is by far the worst. The ONLY reason we stayed is because there was no other rooms available in Kerrville. If you are staying in Kerrville and your only choices for lodging are The Big Texas Inn or sleeping in your smart car with your wife, two kids and the family pet in the parking lot at the McDonalds across the street, STAY IN YOUR CAR you will have a much more enjoyable time and you want be wasting your money.
