We decided to extend our vacation for an extra night in the area and made last-minute reservations at this location because it was in the price range we wanted. When we arrived at the front desk the front desk clerk kept us waiting for several minutes while she chatted on the phone with a friend. She had no record of our reservation so we spent a few minutes sorting that out, and during that interval we saw several unsupervised children running and shouting through the lobby area. She indicated they had been there for several hours but apparently wasn't planning to take any action.
This is an older hotel that has been refurbished. My room was spacious and clean, and although it was obvious that the decor had been spruced up that effort should have extended a bit further in the bathroom. The bathroom was clean but the older tiled tub area had been painted over and the paint and grout were not in very good condition. The shower curtain was also filthy -- it would have been better if it had been replaced with a single-unit shower stall. The room was comfortable and large and included a small fridge, microwave, plenty of lighting, a sleep timer on the tv remote, and even a pull-out desk unit where I could spread out my work with my laptop and still watch tv in comfort. The free Internet was fast and seemed to work well during my stay. The hotel is located near a train track so there was the occasional train horn as the locomotive roared through. My biggest concern was the amount of activity outside in the parking area at odd hours, with cars coming and going and several of them parked for long periods of time with motor running and people inside -- I got up several times in the night to take a peek at my vehicle and make sure it was secure. I didn't see any specific issues but it was rather unusual to have that amount of activity at those hours.
If I decide to stay in the area again I would tend to consider one of the other hotel choices over this one.
