We stayed here for 4 nights in December and loved the place. The hostel is actually a large house, and it has a really comfortable lounge room. There s a tv, free internet, phone for local calls and fuze ball table. The kitchen is fully stocked for you to use and are a couple of bathrooms and a laundry, which you can use for free. They have books, brocheres and maps around to help you out.
The manager Carlos was great, and really made our stay. He recommended a few places for us to go, and he even drove us to a few places. One night we were going Six Flags theme park. It was quite a cold night though, and when we told him our plans he went and got two pairs of his gloves and lent them to us, and also offered to lend us a jacket.
The location is ok, it isn't in the city centre but rather in a suburb of Dallas. But that was ok, it was right near a train station and there are shops and a supermarket within walking distance. The train is the best way to get around. They don't run all night though so you might have to catch a few cabs.
It was a really relaxed place, basically felt like you were staying in someones house. A very quiet, which we preferred. The nights we stayed only 2 other people were there. Great price as well, $20/night.
All in all, highly recommended.
